A butterfly hangs from a tree
inside its formative cocoon
a cold front blankets the ecosystem
bringing predatory desperation.
A spider escaping certain death
crawls in the cocoon to survive.

Silk womb Christ-like chrysalis
the spider is an honorary pupa
finding safety with another species.
The time of snow angels passes
frozen doors thaw revealing freedom.

The butterfly an involuntary good Samaritan
nightmares of treachery tinge its antenna
fears of graceful charity being repaid by the ungrateful imperial
shake the inside of the inside of the inside.
Moment of truth, of reckoning
will the arachnid drifter show gratitude
or will nature conquer itself?
In order for flight to emerge
we hopefully rely on the benign gratefulness of the venomous.

Change
comes-in sudden, careless,
and insensitive,
without regard to anybody,
least of all me;
wreckage is all that’s
left behind
and guess who’s
stuck to clean the mess up?

Mindless, forceful,
incorrigible change,
you have no self-awareness.
You also have the worst
timing.
The best timing?
Really dumb?
Or genius?

Amongst the chaos
and confusion
of your wake,
I learn your one
redeeming quality:
serendipity, meaning,
and surprise.
Well, more than one.
And they’re not exactly
qualities.

Still, with you around,
a terrible time can turn joyous;
a seemingly unnecessary suffering
contributes to a bigger,
more beautiful story;
and a commoner
like me
has something to look forward to
in the future.
(Only sometimes.)

Therefore, even though
I beg you refrain from visiting often,
perhaps I may be able to,
at the very least, hate you less.
(No promises.)

Blessings upon my life
To happiness and success,
Toast to the rough times that went by
For !
Feelings cannot collide in such a magnificent mind
Where gratitude is a muss.

Make hasty the patience from us
Assuring eminence of obscurity from hurt

Leaving only,
Blessings upon my life.

New year is a reminder,
That everyday is a new day,
A new day to breath & breath again,
To let go of what lies behind,
And strain forward to what lies ahead,
Live more to give more than to receive,
To start over and forgive,
And most of all to be grateful,
Thank God it's a new day,

Happy New Year to you all,
With so much love,

If you were a song
I would sing you dearly
and the keys of the piano
would resonate in my living room

If you were a song
the most beautiful melody
would crash into peoples hearts

I would sing and play you
all night long
if you were a song

Youre a hundred-million-dollar lottery win,
Or even more
For a guy like me who is worth ****.

I'd make sure i don't squander you around
Not put you to waste
Such stupidity,
Such loss it would be
For a guy like me who is worth ****
To lose such huge a prize,
Such an unexpected gift.
I owe a great deal
To the friends I hardly knew
For granting me memories
Of happiness and adventure
I thought possible only in dream
To laughter with each meal
Heartfelt tears in Shanghai grew
Sprouting lifetimes of stories
Of a fantasy
Against all odd
To the tunes of Parisian melody
Boasting a Holy Romantic seal
Beyond what possibly may seem

To the friends I hardly knew
May life smile on you
Bring you fortunes
And faithful kinships
To aid you when we part
Know what I say is true
From the run through Thai dew
And admiration of tropical art
It is but I thank you
From the truest extents of my heart
Though lost in Dublin street
Even though we may again never meet
From the highest of Highlands
We will never truly part

He’s a creature of habit,
He has morals and goals,
He strives to be better,
He makes this girl whole,

He gives to the takers,
He never says no,
He’s the sweetest and kindest,
He makes my heart glow,

He makes love so manly,
But tender and soft,
He outdoes all others,
To me he’s the boss,

He’s mine and i love it,
He means me no harm,
He works hard to please me,
He’s like my right arm,

This man in my life,
Is the best in the world,
I’m eternally grateful he chose me as his girl......

This is a work of fact..... For the best man ever..
I walked through a rainy day
Looking for a rainbow.
During an epic week that never seemed to have the sunshine.
I found some Wonka Bars in a store display.
I ran in for a few bars and never won a thing.
However, keeping my mind on the prize kept my distraction from the storms.
Then, as the sun peered out
Just when  I had lost interest in the sweepstakes...
I had gotten lost in the flavor
I found, in that last bar, the "Golden Ticket..."
As the sun started to shine and I felt my heartbeat
of the gratefulness of a sweet and silly moment...
I won the jackpot...
A prize of happiness
A moment of victory which I shall, forever, savor.
