Behold! My sorrow storms straight through daylight.
And not on the last stroke of midnight, when demons sleep.
To entangle me with its invisible ropes, ropes tugging me tight.
Twisted, Swooned, crushed, haemorrhaging deep.

Labyrinth of shame, heralding my doom, looming ever close.
Earning waste with each second more, till sudden salvation.
That scarce shall cast upon my dim verse hugely verbose.
Inside this too stagnant a mind flows nothing but indignation.

Malaise made manifest with the profusrness of a poet's pain,
Entitled as imbalanced brain, a fresh sign of insanity.
Idle hours thrown away like confetti and time spent in vain
Narrow words written by young hands but a spirit of mundanity.

Morbid fascinations of mine with this lack of hope.
End so soon as I leave this world, unable to cope.

God! Bring me down a trail of violets -
Bright violets for my love who drinks too much.
For we felt no fault in evenings spent dancing to old songs,
writhing, primordial dancers, our shadows burnt onto the rocks behind by fire
the air gliding around us like water in a stream.
We are heavy things. Our bones are filled with blood
and when we grasp eachother we rip the stems apart
And oily petals seep from underthings.
Dionysus!
Red, thick hot oily petals
Rose petals, broken from the bud
That weep for us, and die for us, as we lie
Clasped together like thorns
Elpenor!
Too late to continue our travels together
I will come back and bury you, I promise.

You took much more than life and that you know!
You took all my love and that much you owe!
God, I compel thee my years deliver!
Faith! O’ Faith! Life I stand ill and ere you!
In sadness in heart, and thus I wither.

You took much more than life and that you know!
You took all my love and that much you owe!
God, my heart in blackness and hate submerged
Faith! O’ Faith! How in time to time I slipped!
Wherefore from God I’ve lost and diverged?

God, you’ve not heard my prays or understood!
Faith! O’ Faith! Forever fooled and left stood.

You are the twist at the corner of your cheek
Like a youthful expression from the past
Meeting at an intimate place, which I’ve yet to know
But hope—beyond all hope—that I could meet
Like the corner of her lips. More fair than the stars...

Favorite is Haiku
The classic five, seven, five
A thoughtful challenge

My temples ache inside my head
With a need to be without a thought
No one to speak what cannot be said
My quiet calm forget me not

A storm I carry on my back
Midst howling gale and winters plot
A weighted mass atop me sits
An eerie calm forget me not

A flame of hope inside I keep
To thaw that frozen long forgot
Until the first light left is last
A chilling calm forget me not

Though slowly do the seasons pass
These words embed like branded hot
So be it present or in past
Remember still and *forget me not
The last little classic I'll share today... Circa 2014 or 2015

If smiles were salutations then we've conversed a hundred times
Our paths always crossing briefly never seeking to intertwine
The mountain air calls out to us both to walk, to run and hide
And the words that seem to escape us both perplex me every time
As seasons change and years fly by the truth resonates inside
That despite our newfound friendship we will never cross the divide
The gap that separates two hearts but hinders not bright eyes
Bright Eyes is one of many from a bygone era. I'm not done writing new stuff. Just wanted to share these two or three old favorites.
