It's hard to let go of someone
When you loved them it hurts to let them go off on their own
I can't let it go so I fake it
They think I am ok
I am not ok
I didn't let go because I can't
I care too much to do so
I can't let go
I pains me too
But I guess I will now
I see you with them
I will let go
For your sake

What is the definition of beauty
Many have wondered the same
We use this word often but seldom know what it means

People say beauty is on the outside
The shape or tone of your body
****** characteristics and hair
Maybe even the color of your eyes

Others will say it's on the inside
How caring and geniune you are
The intelligence of someone
Or it could be your affection

I will say although I can not define it
I have witnessed true beauty
I realise the definition of beauty is you

Where life's headed
I'm not sure

For your illness
has no cure

I can't hide from the world
stay curled up in bed
Gonna grab the bull by its horns
and move forward instead

Fill our world with
warmth
love
cheer
Spend time with
family and friends
people we hold dear

Friends come visit
guitar in hand
to play you harmonious tunes
Afternoons filled with
fun and music
ending all to soon

Family days
stories past and present
lots of chatter
these days always pleasant

Our grandbaby
a little girl
Fills our world
with giggles and sqeals

Most days there's music and laughter
some times we sing and dance
Plus we take you driving
whenever we get the chance

Have to stay positive
make the most
of our time
Don't know what else I can do
but love you with this heart of mine

Your mixed spray of flowers lifted me at a time when spirits were low

Pastel beauteous petals extend out like a friend’s hands extend to know

Rosebud fragrance scent my office space. Once celestial Hands did form wee seed

Now, your hands place them in a vase as you saw first your friend in need

Pale gladiolas point blossoms out, flute-formed grace artistically spread

Such beauty to praise the Artists Hand, with you as gardener, your hand is led

Love is something we do, my friend, come from depths of inner heart

Of a friend who reaches out her hand says “I care” with flowers taking part

Let joy these bring be lasting beyond time when blossoms fall

Because thoughtfulness remains unblemished, giving of oneself is best of all

I was walking a tunnel,
so cold and alone.
With no light to guide me,
no way to be shown.

I walked, and I walked,
for days upon nights.
Just a long empty tunnel,
with no end in sight.

That was my life,
before I met you,
and where I was going,
I hadn't a clue.

You took away my fear,
and you made me complete.
Something I always thought,
an impossible feat.

This love that we share,
feels just like a dream,
and I feel like my heart,
may burst at the seams.

You are selfless and caring,
and you have always been there.
You look through my flaws,
cause you simply don't care.

You are perfect to me,
in every way.
In all that you do,
and all that you say.

You have taken my soul,
and filled in the crease.
Your my soulmate, my love,
you were my missing piece...
A poem I wrote to my ex-wife

Hello everyone,

I'm so very sorry … I feel horrible doing this, but I have no choice. You see, I have published my first book on Amazon/Kindle! This piece (and many others) had to be taken down because they do not allow published material to be available online for free. (Go figure) I wanted to leave the shell of the posts because I felt compelled to leave all your helpful and loving comments. (Silly sentimental, I know), but I also didn't want to just have the pieces disappear without an explanation. I feel bad enough as it is!

I owe ALL of you so, SO much for all of your reads, love, and support. It was YOU that gave me the gumption to FINALLY get off my **** and publish! Thank you all for the warm comments, camaraderie, and encouragement! I will still be here, reading, uploading and just being the Rascal that I am. How could I EVER leave you guys?

The book is called “The Way I See It – FictionPhilosophySoul Food” and it will be FREE for the first few days on Kindle Select, so watch for it, if you are interested. I hope that you go and grab it. If you do, I would also hope that you find it worthy, you would leave me a good review. That will help me get in the public eye! Soon afterward (2-3 days or so), it will be available in paperback.

Find the book(s) here: www.amazon.com/author/jeff.gaines

Or find the book(s), and all about me, here: www.JeffGaines.world

Soon after, I also hope to have my first novel (a supernatural thriller), called “Wanderer” available as well!

  Wish me luck!
Big, Biggest Love,
        Jeff Gaines

Would you come to my funeral?
Would you be dressed in all black crying over me?
Would you have any regrets?
Would you wish youd done something sooner?
Would you mourn over me?
Would you even notice I was gone?
Would you even care?
Should I even ask?
do I dare?
If I were to die tomorrow
Would you even care?
Wrote this one in hopes someone wouldsee it. But i dont think she cares
