gone to earth

left for dead

everything is tickety-boo

forget your iron-on measures

and scuttled installation

your life is a bakery

that cake is like your head

bittersweet

and full of regret

what am I reading these days?

a book across the stars

where dreams in the throes

of giddy aerosol cans

**** the passersby

and sleep against

the exit sign

Intimate tables. White linen coverings. The room, a checkerboard against the mahogany floor. Cozy nooks for two sit poised for the evening crowd, set against the wainscoting of one wall, a length of crystalline windows above.

A place setting removed, she sits alone, the amber light of her wine an imposter for the last shards of daylight that poke from behind a ridge.

She swirls her wine clockwise. Something to do with progress, he said. Or she read that somewhere. She can't remember which.

She finishes and turns the stem of her glass slowly hoping to leave an impression in the cloth, when a voice says, "May I join you?"

Remember that all things fade.
All creatures must have an end
To bear new beginnings.
And all new beginnings
Come from resolution.
Have been feeling very critical of myself and my writing lately. But I'm learning from my own characters in my novel.

stray thoughts
born from the blue
become daisies when
the sun shines through;
a dark age unravelling
the Elysian fields
from existential glooms
come ethereal yields..
Completing my 100th poem on a high note!

New beginnings come with a frenzy of excitement and curiosity.
It all felt like going to school for the first time.
Take back to the time when we were taking our first step into the wisdom of life.
Doesn't we all felt the same while stepping towards "A New Beginning"?
The feeling we know will be experiencing every time while staging up to a new level
The mixed feeling of joy, fear, passion.
The keenness for having a new array of beautiful and inspiring souls.
The moment for increasing the souls in your circle.
The moment for reliving the feeling of newness.

New Beginnings always brings an insane amount of perceptions in a life.

I woke up and forgot it was October
On the front steps, I shook a little less
Than the last time we decided to rush
A season, shaking branches and wearing
Sweaters with the sun beating down
Tomorrow, it still won’t feel like home
But I am learning that nothing does
Except for autumn and that first cool morning
Where the air smells like it did when I was ten
Before I knew that life would ever feel as unreal
As it does now, standing on one side of a door
Stirring up the courage to pull it shut
