Much adored is the dead poet

Within the glass case
Away from dirt
Amongst the books pressed
Rests his heart

Such was the silence he dreamed
When words streamed
Like riverine flow
In all might arose
Seeking the order in chaos

Orderly bound now his name
In peace standing behind wooden frame
Yet with the ceaseless commotion of wait...

Much adored rests the dead poet.

“Tick Tock!” proclaims the clock
My closet opens up a crack
A shadow whisks out, my eyes losing track
He’s back, that frightful little fellow
I clench the sheets as my skin turns yellow
I soon hear a peculiar wet rip
And at about that time, I’m wondering about acid trips
Half-past 3 AM, a red, leathery hand grips my calf
My eyes shut tight as he starts to laugh
I wake up nose to nose with the scrawny thing called Ticker
He gnaws on my lips, wearing a favorite snicker
a poet i did not know
i sail through life blithely
mouthing prayers
but do i show
the love of God Or do i
forget it as i go

a poet i did not read
a poet who passed on
joining the ranks in heaven
yes, that mighty throng
does he look down
and smile on us
now that he is gone?

a poet i did not read
a poet who knew Christ
perhaps better than myself
when cut comes to slice
perhaps now i'll
know meaning
i'll take my
own advice

the advice i give my family
the advice i give my friends
you never know the poem

until

the

poem

ends

Please. Let's love each other.
Put aside our differences today
in honor of Chris.

I think he would like that.

I will be off site today for a while.
I'm going back to my wellness camp.
You never really know how strong you are until you're alone,
crying and forced to pick yourself up off the floor.
That is when you can truly see how big your emotional muscles are
and I promise
they are bigger than you ever thought possible.
Flex them.
Moments will come to pass
Enjoy it while you can
It will soon be just a memory
Remember to take a stand
Be bold and brave
Create your legacy
Inspire others to do their best
Show compassion and integrity

i get lost in the time
when i'm tossin' a line
all of my problems are lost in my mind

i don't need a big lake
to make my great escape
i sit on the bank and wait for the take

you know it's a sight
when my line goes tight
i set the hook and i am in for a fight

i get lost in the time
when i'm tossin' a line
all of my problems are lost in my mind
Caught a 24 inch bass, along with a lot of 15-22 inch bass yesterday. I also caught a lot of sunfish. Woop!
