Her eyes are filled with wonder
hearts a floating fire
her mind has cracked with thunder
thoughts are running wild
caught up in a daydream
she hates the way the days seem
to come and go
with no control
of how or who or what to do
or where to go or who to be
mad as hell, society
crazy
lazy
hazy
lay back down,
daydream.

One of the hardest things
in the world
is sitting across from
some one you once
exchanged I love you
with.
Catching up and
pretending not to
remember what it felt
like to kiss them.
Every time I fall
in love again,
each time leaving
is harder
than it was before.
I never really remember
why these people left
my life,
or why they even entered
in the first place.
But it's always bittersweet,
when you walk away
with your heart
in your throat.
So, smoke a cigarette
and try to convince
yourself that you don't
love them anymore.

And it'll be okay.
For now.

Her head silently dwindles on a cold plush pillow,
looking into the eyes of her perfect bliss.
An afternoon made from happiness,
a simple Sunday and a drop of Heaven.
Lying down, the August serenity making her blush,
The echo of the pleasing bashful breeze,
A slow pluck of eternity on the strings of love.
Grasping one another's hand,
Vowing to never let go.
Her beautiful eyes glossed in his desire,
A last warm and subtle kiss,
the final memory and the first chapter,
of love vanishing into the abyss.

What will you remember?

When the oceans are still.
When there are no wars.
When the sun stops shining.

When its all over. I'll still hear her voice.
Forever is a scary place,
but I wouldn't want to go there with anyone else,

but you.

When life takes a halt,
that is just the beginning.
My Heaven is simple,
I call it Sunday with you.

The Ocean
The ocean, I like to go,
except days, when it might snow.
I like the ocean, colored blue,
jamming out to some Motley Crue.
Girls in a two piece thong,
no way, you can go wrong.
Laying towels in the sand,
lovers holding each others hand.
Boogie boarding on the wave,
these are things, that I crave.
Getting the perfect tan,
girls all drooling over one man.
Swimming in the warm gulf water,
with my awesome son, and my beautiful daughter.
Wet sand can make a castle,
hard to walk, wish I had a camel.
Getting wet, when you're hot,
a jet ski, I just bought.
Sunglasses on to scope the chicks,
put some **** in the brownie mix.
I love the ocean, for all the above,
don't get in the path of the water,
or you will get a giant shove.

And through the night
We will fight
We pray to see the next dawns light
Caught in trenches huddled tight
Our brotherly blight
The enemy's spite
To return to sons and fathers
To hold our mothers and daughters
To see freedom never fade
This is why tonight we pray

there is no one at fault
except for the plates trembling below
swiping our soul as one
to gobble it up
suffocate our pores
let the screams turn up
and taste-bud-dots peel
there is nothing left to sense
but the barren soil
while the last engine pops
and the final bell rings
the church has set free
all the old taken things

When I lay upon my bed, I pray.
When I awaken in the dawn, I pray.
My comfort is found in my prayer.
When my time has come and my days are ended,
then, and only then, I will stop praying.
For my prayer has finally been answered.
