Her brilliance will get her far
It pays to be persistent
Nothing appears without hard work
Just hang in there and be diligent
Learning is a lifelong experience
Grab as much knowledge as you can
Be at the top of your class
For the time is at hand
I ENVY the seas of Neptune that he rides,
      I envy the thrills,
Of his royal chariot of May;
      Gracing these glistening hills.

Gaze upon our journey, Love!
       Where the stars may gleam
On our forbidden melody,
       Bless this love, unto me!

I envy lakes of Swans,
        That flutter on August Eves,
That bless a forbidden Love,
        With newfound Autumn Leaves.

Opened is the portal,
On this summer's Eve for me,
That jewels and diadems of Wealth,
         Shall never; could never be.

I envy our everlasting light,
         And bells that gently ring
Over that fateful evening,
         That - envy shall bring.

Yet interrupt Spring's blossom,
Even when our hearts may bleed,
Run into this everlasting night,
         Under the stars with me.
I can see the stars... from America, oh.
Let
LET me not dwell on a Spirit's dream,
        By a Lover's pain;
But only endure my everlasting plight -
        So it may arise again.
Let' walk, after all these
Explore the wood lands
Search for the faery rings
Lit fire out of dried pine woods
Lay on dead leaves and
watch the passing of the stars
Whisper in low, husky voice
Talk in ancient languages of the universe
Recite our long, forgotten poetry.

Disappear with me, after all these
I'll bring cloves and
rosemary and
crown your hair with purple thistle.
Walk with me this frozen field
of ever-changing likeness
faces affixed in ghost-like stares
sorrow screams silent from their eyes

Elude with me the coming dawn
which harbors only darkness
cast a shield of sanity
in shadows rich of hue

We will bathe in passions light
time removed from our thought
forever lost
forever found

 May 2016 Eternal Threshold
MJ
Submerged in darkness.
Submerged in pain.
Submerged in loneliness.
Submerged in self-gain.

Submerged in nothing.
Submerged in a flood.
Submerged in everything.
Submerged in blood.

Submerged in water.
Submerged in dust,
Submerged in profanity.
Submerged in lust.

And I ask, as I sit here,
submerged in sin,
"Isn't there something better
To submerge myself in?"
Sometimes
the burning
is so powerful
that I
might as
well be
tied to a stake
like the pagan
wise-women of yore
mistaken for witches
no dousing
with gasoline
necessary
for the inside
is already so
slick with
simmering
flammability
combustable
liquids
that trickle
down my thighs
into the earth
and create dark steam
that turns into light
as its luscious
vapor rising
from my being
Soon I will
simply evaporate
and become
atmospheric
ether floating
up towards
stars
and raining
love down
into the
tender receptacle
of your
being
So many sizzling emotions :)
