When her dander is up
It's with utmost grace
Warming the fingers and toes
Of her children

When she dips below the horizon
It's with private time in mind
Seeking the touch from a lover
To take with her to bed

And when she opens
Her eyes at the twinkle
Of ante meridiem
It's with heartbeat & blood flow
Happy to have conceived
Another day of life

Concrete poetry

The first one I’ve done in quite some time
Almost out of body
Almost mad from the
Pressure of it-
Great leviathan
Crouching on my rib cage
My heart strains to grow wings,
To take flight when I glimpse
The poisonous rubies of its eyes
And when its fanged mouth opens to
Set me aflame
I wonder if
I’ll ever stop burning
In my quest for solace, love truly never fails,
Your memory magically appears to calm the violent storms and adjust my sail.
Sometimes
it is hard
to spread your roots
in shaky grounds.

You are not obligated
to stay,
for you still are just a seed,
that the wind
can take
away.
