I like to see your eyes closed and imagine that they are open, because your beautiful eyes are as enigmatic as the universe itself.

You make me want to confess
my deepest fears,
my darkest secrets.
Trade in my life as a sinner
and become faithful to
you and you alone.
Please, lay your hands
upon me, soothe my demons
and calm my heart.
I am only just
beginning to live.

My mother always used to tell me
that I could read anyone.
"Give them an hour with you", she'd laugh,
"and you'd just know."
Then I met you
and it seems that your book is
written a language that I just don't understand.
This illiteracy is driving me mad
and I know I would spend years just to
decipher one page.

Everyday in library
She sits in front of me
Or i can say
I want to sit there
To make her see!

She is very calm, very quiet
Her eyes looking straight
           Towards the book
Catching the words
          Neither left nor right!!

       Smiled once in a day
       It seemed as if
   Sun comes out from
                       black clouds
        Her face shined
    In the same way!!!

       I tried to see her
       To read her face
       For having clues
Not a single wave of
         Expression i seen
                       It's abstruse!!!!
I don't know that girl and she don't know me too...but her calm face made me to think about her.

there are some things we want that we can’t always have. happiness. love. but we make it through, you know? why? because humans are resilient creatures. we are made to withstand pain, and loss, and whatever else. biologically that’s how we’re made, it’s an evolutionary thing. it’s something that happened because of our history as creatures on earth. we are adaptable.

Play music and you’re an instrument,
Make dinner and you’re a chef,
Paint a canvas and you’re an artist,
Open a door and you’re a key,
Set fire to a Polaroid, and you’re a photographer.
Burn candles and you’re a priest,
Pull pages from a book and you’re a writer,
Dodge traffic and you’re a warden,
Break a heart and you’re a lover,
Lie and you’re a promise,
Hide and you’re invisible,
Think and you’re emotional,
Cry and you’re a nihilist,
Learn and you’re a sponge,
Sense and you’re a silhouette,
Flicker in the background.
Scream and you’re a vibration,
Sweat and you’re still,
Run and you’re somewhere else,
Look back and you’re a stone,
Stand on the roof and you’re a bird,
Fly and you’re wings will burn,
Look down the hole and you’re human,
See white lights, and green and yellow,
Stop looking and you’re dead.

Last Snowflake
 Dec 2016 M

I looked out the window
and there is nothing left
all the snow is gone
it just melted in the pouring rain

The birds are singing
but the sky is gray
it reminds me of you
where were you yesterday?

Now there is silence in our home
We are one toothbrush short
and your belongings in the hall
make me feel cold with heater on

In midst of this chaos
a miracle occurs
my drowsy eyes make me see
last snowflake of this year

I've always hated winter
But the beauty of this snowfall
Made me love this winter wonderland
