We share the same goals
And the same
Hopes
Our skin
Only conceals
What our blood reveals

We are a nation in crisis

But hopefully
The crisis doesn't tear us apart
As most would expect
But rather
It brings us together

One love
One heart
Let's get together and feel alright

Yes
We're on the brink
The brink of finding peace
We can make a change forward
For the best

One love

At the night,
In its deep darkness
I see from afar it,
In this dream so fuzzy,
I see this smile,
In a world of shadows,
I feel this courage,
In this abstract reality,
I hear this voice,
Fact of this fertile silence,
I have think of the eternity.

Tell me friend
where did you begin
who were you
why are you
the way you are today
was it outside forces
did you just adjust
to your environment
or did you pretend
to be something new
so long it stopped
being an act
I'm curious.
or other

I have good excuses
for all my crimes
as a judge I know
who deserves and who
does not
so I will take
and give in the certainty
of my morale authority
Your honor.
I miss being around you all the time
A longing I couldn't even begin to describe
That holiday with you was something else
Something I do believe I've never felt
From sunrise to sunset
From kissing your shoulders
To getting our feet wet
As we walked along the beach

Hand in hand and heart in mouth
The tide's swooshing hisses
That soothing feeling; what life's about
I should mention
I don't really like the ocean
On the surface it seems barren
Yet it can swallow anything whole
But in your company, the world, the sea and all of its untold misery couldn't really bother me

It's like the warm breeze was your love, I enjoyed it in moderation and in abundance
I miss that feeling of you squeezing me
Tighter and tighter
On the back of that quad bike
As we rode down that mountain
And in to the night
I was probably a bit over zealous
What can I say, that's what I like
To live fast and die a part of you
Would be my happily ever after

Swimming pools, night clubs, bars, restaurants, shopping, walking, riding, drinking and dining
Were all just fancy ways of saying
'Spending time with you'
In thirty degree dry heat
At the hotel in our room
After an argument or two
Recovering from extreme partying
...and too much sun
I would try to lay close to you
When even the silence screamed I love you

I will never forget it gorgeous
These memories of us I cherish

I like cute smiles
They "make me die"
Quoting the girls with too much time
Can't forget
Succulent thighs
They draw my attention
From their deviant eyes

Before I went in the morning
I left you my heart
Not wanting to disturb your rest
I quietly ripped it out of my chest
And stored it in a cardboard box
I'd imagine you'll be quite flummox
Debating whether this was sane or insane
So allow me to plainly explain:
I had to depart from you
But my heart could not bear to be apart
I felt it distressing in my chest
For it loves you so freely and pure
Tearing it out was the only cure.
Don't ask why or how
Just know it is yours now
I don't mean to impose on you
Just propose you care for it
Like one would care for roses
Place it at whatever spot you feel it should grace
Treat it right and it will treat you right
Just please, please don't let it go to waste
It won't last forever - for my heart is finite
But there is still many fine nights to come
So enjoy it while it lasts
What use do I have of it now?
