Maya Angelou
Your skin like dawn
Mine like musk

One paints the beginning
of a certain end.

The other, the end of a
sure beginning.

Wake up, the sun is shining,
My mother's words are loudly calling.

Turn right then turn left
I feel more tired than when I went to bed.,

My hands are cold,
And so are my feet.,
The cozy, warm blanket is my only relief.

Tick-tock, tick-tock
A silent someone, going by Mr. Clock,
Is buzzing in the background,
Reminding me that I have to wake up.

My eyes are now open,
But I still feel sleepy
A deep, scary feeling is slowly sinking.

Get up and face the world.,
It's what I tell myself non-stop.

But deep inside,
I wish I could just stop the clock
For I am too scared to face the world

Cowardice is not my excuse,
I just am tired to keep accepting rules.
Problems over problems
Hate over Love,
All big stones, laying inside my heart.
Bittersweet, like the soft and warm sunlight, caressing your skin in the morning...

Often I wonder,
To what end is your touch?
How can your fingers,
Still gather and refine,
New threads of my soul?
At times I wonder if he's even real. And then he is and I don't know how to love him proper.

Edgar Allan Poe
In visions of the dark night
I have dreamed of joy departed—
But a waking dream of life and light
  Hath left me broken-hearted.

Ah! what is not a dream by day
To him whose eyes are cast
On things around him with a ray
  Turned back upon the past?

That holy dream—that holy dream,
While all the world were chiding,
Hath cheered me as a lovely beam,
  A lonely spirit guiding.

What though that light, thro’ storm and night,
  So trembled from afar—
What could there be more purely bright
  In Truth’s day star?

A fire burns within
Each flame igniting desires
For a passion I must pursue
Broiling my blood, searing every fiber

I once questioned why it chose me
Tried to fend it off for good,
But birth dealt me as a dreamer
Persistent imagination into adulthood

These words consist of power
Its control bestowed upon the unique
The responsibility of my talent
To share what others sincerely seek

Commitment and dedication
Discipline and sleepless nights
Believing in something bigger
Triumphant against all plights

As strength endures heartache
And my will to succeed prevails
My words shield me from naysayers
Because not everyone understand what my path entails

when the language of rain
is in need of
translation.

when the parallel lines
have
crossed.

when observing the time
by the pizza boxes
arching
toward
a ceiling fan.

when pages of
stories are skipped
to the end unread.

rain touches the lonely,
rain is weaving
the hearts
with dreams.

rain colors the lonely
arching in color
touching the sky.

droplets  of water
through your window glass
tapping of comfort
of watering eyes.

But I'd much rather say,
At least your mistakes
Didn't turn me into a snake.
so crazy i used whether instead of rather

A Woman's beauty lies in a man's love
A Man's beauty lies in a woman's care
When both become two bodies with one soul
An aura of divine relation shines
Making it a pleasant vision of life!
