Ember Evanescent
She was kind of like starlight.
Glistening, quiet beauty.
Delicate, fragile, but powerful.
Nothing could dim her shining light, nothing could conceal her glimmering perfection, and she was herself to the end
...even when she was alone.

This is a free verse poem from one of my stories I'm writing describing one of my favorite characters I've created from her admirer's point of view.

Repost if you are a writer :)
Please comment, I LOVE to hear thoughts on my work.

SøułSurvivør
we scintillating
drift swirling
in our own
individual
paths

we make our ways
not by the
Southern Cross
for this is comprised
of stars

but by this little
blue marble
we call

EARTH*

We revolve around this
little ball
shedding little lights

Little do we know that
we are, in fact,

SUNS

Try to be strong
Stare down the road
Think about how long
It takes to take a step,
To hear your song.

How long I've slept
Under this invisibility
Tranquility
Sadder
Shudder
Close then open
This is life is just coping
Kids running amuck in the streets,
burning lamps glistening to life with buzzes and beats.

Wonder and awe floats through their eyes,
a life of possibility calling loud and raw and they don't realize.

No vice infecting their dream,
no skewed perceptions morphing life into schemes.

Until they awaken one morning and gasp one deep breath,
and suddenly realize their childhood has finally left.

Of all the worlds I fall into none. But space and time have no hold on me. I watch from above in aparent silence and wonder how I can get back to my body.
In and out, in and out.
My mind wanders, and my thoughts shout.

In and out, in and out.
We fight the stress, anxiety, that life nefariously chews out.

In and out, in and out.
The breath can calm, and ignite serenity's droplets atop an arid drought.

In and out, in and out.
I refuse to clock-out, and will always shout, I know myself throughout.
Meditation can change your outlook on life and your self.
