We can not live on
without both man and woman.
Collectively one,
we're meant to work together
as equals in love and trust.

I was scared he'd be going
And leave me behind
But he's cancelled Tucson
'Bought a diamond that shines
Now I know he meant it
When he said soft and low
Honey, this is the first time
I've ever been throwed

There is a past age
That no one can alter
And tomorrow will be
What tomorrow will be

But here in the middle
Is one precious moment
A quicksilver instant
That challenges me

Because I was born into poverty
I learnt some of life's most valuable lessons

2

Because I don't over-rate my skills
I suffer from few disappointments

3

Because I could not flatter nor compromise
some people kept away from me

4

Because I recognise the ways of the world
I am not easily fazed

5

Because I know life is too short
I don't fritter time away in idle indulgence
* taking a pause after this--moving to other themes
Today the last seam ripped
From the veil of purity
I bound myself within
I’ve come to the realization
It was merely a handicap
Masquerading as a noble cause
So adamant not to play the game
My choices left me with no defense
No shelter
I’ve given too much credence to the interactions of chemicals
Falsifying chemistry
Turning a blind eye to deceits
In a way I was always aware
But I eagerly brushed those thoughts aside
Hungry for something else
Aching for some sort of natural connection
But when everything is coordinated and man-made
Manipulated
There is no such thing as innocence
Merely naïve souls unwilling to adapt.

If you're happy
I'm happy
I can't ask for any more
I tend to be the most frugal person in the room
But that's just who I am
I just want you to be happy cause of me
Girl, I know you have been trying to fend off the gargoyles inside your soul
But I'm here to help
Be happy for me
I want to see that smile
It cures my anger and sadness
And it lightens up the most brimming room.
Said the little boy, "Sometimes I drop my spoon."
Said the old man, "I do that too."
The little boy whispered, "I wet my pants."
"I do that too," laughed the little old man.
Said the little boy, "I often cry."
The old man nodded, "So do I."
"But worst of all," said the boy, "it seems
Grown-ups don't pay attention to me."
And he felt the warmth of a wrinkled old hand.
"I know what you mean," said the little old man.
There is a place where the sidewalk ends
And before the street begins,
And there the grass grows soft and white,
And there the sun burns crimson bright,
And there the moon-bird rests from his flight
To cool in the peppermint wind.

Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black
And the dark street winds and bends.
Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow
We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And watch where the chalk-white arrows go
To the place where the sidewalk ends.

Yes we'll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And we'll go where the chalk-white arrows go,
For the children, they mark, and the children, they know
The place where the sidewalk ends.
Packing a snack
For the road ahead
You need to eat to survive
But a little extra food wouldn't hurt a man
Unless you ate food size of a caravan
The soldiers who fight for our country
Have a harder job than we ever will
They're getting tired of reading the other wills
Most people would run for the hills
When a bullet gets close to them
But this is another day in the office for them
Merely a realistic training session
But there are no takebacks or redos.
It's all real.
This court can't appeal
Just sit in silence
Silence is harmonic and hellish simatenously
Too hard to explain
The Military is tough work. Hardest job there is. Harder than anything I will ever do.
