Empty Shell

Where is the poem,
the one I culdn't feel?
Escaped, like a flock of gulls
when all that's left is shells.
The mussels gone
or rotted
by heavy salty air;
exposed like a heart
to a fisherman
who never eats his catch
but hasn't the sense
to toss it in the water.
I am a shell,
with nothing succulent
to share.
Do you know the feeling?

its the ones that are close that hurt you most
they play you so close, their moves look shady
and before you notice - they already ghost
you give them your love; they over indulge - **** is crazy.
they stay trying to feed off of you like a baby
if you wont let them, they try and slay thee

They say I look beautiful, well that is not completely true.
They say I'm sweet, but they haven't seen the other side of me.
They say I'm the buddy to hangout with, but they haven't looked deep inside my eyes which still search the presence.
They say I fit their group, but somewhere I feel lonesome and cry.
They hesitate to say what they feel like , I wish they had known me a bit more.
They say we are lucky to have you, I wish they knew that I was the one who was lucky to have them.

In this big world people will judge you, somewhere they haven't known you that well. Let go all the things which others say and live. Be the one who you are and let the world stare.
No matter what happens, believe in yourself because the ones who judge you know your name, not the story behind it.

all i feel,
inside and out,
is pain.
pain all over.
i'm aching,
won't you save me?

save me,
from myself,
because,
nowadays,
i'm starting to think,
my only demon,
is myself.

it's nice how we all came together
to have this reunion day
a lot has changed since we've seen each other
but some things never go away

eyes look toward the lesser blessed
without understanding of their soul
we think we know a lot about each other
but some things we will never know

disgust on faces and ***** looks
she will never be our kind
voices mutter words of judgment
from behind the defining line

a woman walks off into the rain
as a Cadillac pulls away
they will never know her pain
at least not on this reunion day
