It's not who you are or who you know,

What you wear or where you go.

It's not your friends or family,

Its words on a page,

In this community.

The words we use can settle scores

or open doors.

So hear a heartfelt plea from me,

Let's stop the wars and do poetry.
I am not yours, not lost in you,
Not lost, although I long to be
Lost as a candle lit at noon,
Lost as a snowflake in the sea.

You love me, and I find you still
A spirit beautiful and bright,
Yet I am I, who long to be
Lost as a light is lost in light.

Oh plunge me deep in love—put out
My senses, leave me deaf and blind,
Swept by the tempest of your love,
A taper in a rushing wind.
My heart feels ache
For souls I hardly knew
Our boundaries we had to break
In order to see our hearts grew
Into orchards of Cherry Blossoms

Never have we before taken this journey
To have the chance to cut through
The social stigma our lands placed
On a country know for the power of its army
Regardless of the Problems
We Faced

Our adventure knew pure excitement
and Serenity
Even in our darkest hour
Many were surprised I was one of enlightenment
Which only makes the essence of my identity
Much deeper

This power
We feel sheds tears
To Allow for Magnolias to Grow and Wave
For a Chinese Goodbye
In hopes we meet again
When the tree has grow
Night skies are proof
There's more than meets the eye
The two-way mirror that reflects fear
Can be shattered to reveal
What's been patiently waiting behind
All this time

This continuum of anxiety
itching at my lungs
choking for air
like its intangible
distantly shouting
for me to come catch it
the breath
the life
you ****** right out of me
the energy that you drained
from my
veins
as you begged for me to
stay
then left me dry and
shriveled
at the gate
where my demons
lay
waiting for me
to crumble in their
ash writhing
limbs.
I am not falling apart. I will escape this.

what's made of gold, is made of crystal—
sold for steel in the streets of Bristol.
pulled the trigger before you cocked the pistol.

Tingling alarm,
burning eyes,
sassy is out,
in my mind.

**** long hair,
short skirt,
dark music,
pale skin.

Salty humor,
seriously sweet,
sparkling aura,
on high-heels.

Knocking on hearts,
Opening doors,
Shivering crowds,
Dancing all floors.

Sight sets on me,
Fountains of youth,
Brilliance in her steps,
Each marked with truth.

Tied by her beauty,
My soul's reeling in,
Tossing and turning,
The lure, deady sin.
