I've always wondered
What my life would be like
If I was the rebellious child.

I've always wondered
What my life would be like
If I was the type to party.

I've always wondered
What my life would be like
If I was the quiet girl in class.

I always wondered
What my life would be like
If I didn't care as much.

But I follow the rules
I don't party
I'm not quiet.

I care too much;
I care too much about people,
People who don't care for me.

What if I was totally different?
What would that be like?
Who would I be?

I would be no one
Because who I am
Is who I want to be.
When I think, I think intensely.

all my life, it's been nothing but the fear
living in a world where any peace is rare
when angels and demons whisper in my ear
not having what it takes, it makes it hard to bear

all my life, I've been walking in the steps
following a path that hasn't led to better yet
i'm taking bets about what might happen next
I wonder to myself, is this as good as it ever gets?
Sorry about the emo stuff. I think I will keep adding to this poem though. Hopefully with more positivity.

A romance to bloom forever
a love to last a lifetime
hand in hand together
towards heaven we climb

In the wake of bad statics
we fight against tough odds
dedicated and optimistic
evoking the sayings of Gods

If only we could remain
idealistic, ambitious and pure
carefully evading the pain
forever romantic and demure

Perhaps then we could avoid
the fate of other mortals
a love and romance destroyed
a dream turned into morsels?

But how to expect good intentions
to protect us for a lifetime
or expect willpower and attention
to secure the romance of our prime?

love has become scarce to humans

Life isn't a race,
It isn't a marathon,
Neither is it a paragon.
We live as we breathe,
We die and we leave,
But when the night ends,
Morning is across the corner,
Right where the road bends,
Is where we find ourselves.

As we live,
We await to see another day.

Home is where the heart is,
Home is where love resides,
Whether it'll be rocket rides,
Where kids seek and hides,
Where one confides,
Home is where love resides.

Memory is truly fickle,
Unable to describe songs,
Yet can taste a pickle,
For its taste being wrong.

The human mind is trained,
To remember the tainted,
The sounds of an ankle sprained,
Over the painting an artist painted.

We remember the heartaches and pain,
But we forget the beauty prior,
We rarely ever complain,
About the dance but complain about perspire.

My love for you is nothing, compared to him
He can give you diamond-studded watches
When all I can give you is
All of my precious time.

My love for you is nothing, compared to him
He can buy you sweet chocolates in heart-shaped boxes
When all I can give you are
Sweet, unforgettable memories.

My love for you is nothing, compared to him
He can take you to Paris, Venice; anywhere
When the only place that I can take you is
To my entire world.

So many things that I can't give you, unlike him
But I will tell you this
My love for you is nothing
Because nothing lasts forever.

have in common

we ache to be understood
that our words adequately

Thank you for taking me
out of myself
and teaching me to
capture my sadness
and be
"mindful"
