Creep
I'm an excellent seamstress--
I can mend anything, rip seams out of everything
But who will fix me?
another love
by tom odell
Time belongs to night,
The future to the dark,
Between the moon and stars,
Our lives are in shade,
Disordered and cluttered,
We don't know where to start,
Caught in frozen waters,
No direction, eyes too weak,
Lights drop into the puddles,
And fizzle out with no more,
Than an unseen ripple.
I wonder if they remember, amongst the streams of faces,
The ones that return again.
Do they do their job alone or accompany themselves
With the stories of those they serve
Perhaps they see the bad days and smile a little more
To take the edge off the pain
Do they see it turn around, the new starts and hopes of each
Or maybe they don't notice that another set of eyes, another order has with it, a life.

You talk of killing yourself as one would of getting a glass of water:
normally,
casually.

You are sarcastic, and in this, too, there is sarcasm, but it's undertone is real. Honest.

So of course, you scare me.

It does not take long before you ask the question I dread:
Would you miss me if I were dead?

Because I want to know what the hell kind of question that is.

Stupid question, heartless question, yes I'd miss you if you were dead.

Stupid, because we're friends, because I know you, because I like you.

Heartless, because do you really think I care for you so little that I'd wish you away?

Nothing matters now, though.
It's been asked,
It's been answered.

So long as you do me a favor.
Just one - no more, no less.

And don't discount this, the way you always do,
saying everybody dies, not everybody dies by choice.

Stay alive, will you?
For as long as you possibly can?

Who am I to dictate, what you can and cannot do.
Who am I to force you, to live in a world you cannot stand.

But for me, for the others, for everyone who says we'll miss you, please,

*Hold out as long as you can stand.

It's a dangerous world that we live in,
But a dangerous world we create,
Where the wrong are too often forgiven,
And the right are convicted of hate.

I dwell in my past so often,
I forget I'm in the now
I wish and long for people
Who, for a while, haven't been around
I put aside those who want me
To remember those who don't,
It's time I said I'm sorry
And let go of the rope
I have people who want to be there for me
I just have to let them
Feeling Frisky
And you're looking ****
I keep looking at you
And your features bless me

My eyes drink you in
I swear I can feel a buzz
You may have heard all of this before
But I'm telling you again just because

It's so tempting, to just run over
Grab you and absolutely ravage you
And believe me it's hard to control this urge
But I guess you'll never notice me
So I'll put these feelings down in verse

chapped lips
shallow breaths
anticipating what comes next
legs weak and
sweaty skin
how could this be called
a sin?
