Not Lauren
I dug a little too far into myself and ended up staring at you

Senescence begins
And middle age ends
The day your descendents
Outnumber your friends.

Don't worry about a thing,
because it will all be fine,
In the morning the birds will sing,
And the sun will shine
Life goes on, that's how time flies by..
So you might as well move on,
And leave your bad place behind

Don't cry over someone who,
Isn't even worth it..
It's their loss if they can't see
you're perfect
Don't cry yourself to sleep
Dream a dream for me
And then wake up next morning
Bright and early..

Oh when you're feeling down,
I'll be there to make you strong again
So pick your heart up off the ground,
Be strong don't ever pretend again

Okay one more verse,
Let's see if i can put this into words..
Don't over think the situation
Cause that will make things worse, oh
Just relax and let it go
I know it's easier said than done
But if we both never try,
We might never see that sun
One of my most, if not the* happiest most post positive piece i've posted on here! I'm going up to the country for 5 days, so when i get back.. I hope i can see that my words made some impact! :) love, cathy X

~

we have never loved until

with one we’ve shared our laughter’s song,

and wept upon our lover’s neck,

filled our cup with heaven’s wine,

and labored silently as one

to see brought out the other’s best;

that when our light on earth grows dim,

like setting sun our time has come,

with arms entwined one final time

we can say with fleeting breath,

“our treasure lies not in frail hands,

but beats forever in our breast.”

post script.

a dear co-worker's husband passed this weekend... 64 years of marriage is a very, very long time!

i watched a sunset tonight with my baby and heard her say, "honey, you know we're over half way there." i'd gladly go the rest of the way with her.

I wonder,
Who else would look at the clock & think about life.
I'm tired & hungry & suicidal.
I want my exterior to be as broken
As my interior.
People only see the outside
And they don't understand what it's like
To have your mind pitch-black
And your body functioning on auto-pilot.
There's no break, no acceleration. Nothing.
You just do whatever your dark mind makes you do.

5.00p.m.
It's quiet here
With people minding their own business
Doing their own things.
I wonder,
Who else is like me
Trying to find a way back home.

If waves could wash
Away
My memory of you
I'd sleep in the rivers, and
Drown

I have always been a morning person
With the way the sun peeked over storage units
and abandoned cars
"Hello!" It says
"I am here! Do not fear the dark!"
So we make our coffee and the artists think
Certain things
We build words and universes within ourselves
And we never get to a book in time to write it down
To scrawl down the formula
For what might have been
morning always reminds me
Of lazy cats stretching in the sun
And watching the dew solidify
On the grass
Outside the window.
This morning was...interesting.
