Closing your eyes and listening
To a hungry stomach
And hungry heart
A hungry mind
Oh, why do we starve ourselves?

A poet dies not when he looses the will to live
But when he looses the will to write

Pathways opened
through doors unhinged

Journey travelled
with roads unworn

Magic unbound
from spells unchanted

Heartbeats birthed
but the heart's unborn

from a poem unpenned

A song sung
but lyrics unwritten

A dance performed
with routine unrehearsed

Feelings perceived
through words unspoken

every time i try to write a poem
every sheet of paper gone to waste
for the words that I keep on conceiving are unjust to describe the gift of the world that is you.
