Nothing Much
I am learning to sleep with the window open
And let crickets crawl into my ears
The cars passing by are a lullaby
And star after star appears

Sometimes one streaks across the sky
Leaving space dust in its wake
I think of the the wishes that I've missed
On the nights I was not awake

Take my hand.
Close your eyes.
Breathe me in.
Just free your mind.

It’s only us.
Time does not exist.
There’s no need to rush.
Just enjoy this bliss.

Trace my lips,
As you hear me speak.
Can you hear the thumping,
Of my racing heartbeat?

Let your hand,
Graze my cheek.
As I listen intently,
To the words you speak.

Do you feel the air,
Brush by your skin?
Do I stir up something
Deep within?

Relax your muscles.
You’re safe with me.
Forget the world.
As we make our own melody.

I want to fall in love with strangers on rooftops and smoke cigarettes till sunrise.
I want to drink moonshine in the fields and take rides on tractors just because.
I want to feel the soft sand between my toes and feel the salty air in my hair.
Watch the sunset over the mountain in Colorado & drink tea on the Mississippi River.
When I'm feeling blue and lost I plan trips to distant places.
When I'm missing your lips against mine, I trace the roads that will bring you home.

I want to wake up happy and go to bed happier.
Don't regret your past,
A stream does not flow backwards,
Move on, and be great
Another haiku. I should start taking my own advice
Do flowers cry when
Their petals begin to fall?
Or become weightless?

I don't care anymore
About long held childhood dreams
Just give me my fields and my forests
Or a rocky perch o'er looking the sea
It's in such places that I can gather my thoughts
And write the words in my mind
Its in such places that I can get lost
Forget the rest of mankind
Here in the solitude away from turmoil
Here my mind is at rest
The smell of the pine trees or the sound of the waves
Tis in such a place you can lay down and rest
