Sorrow found me, he found me in my bed, he came in through my heart, and lodged there in my head.
He was rather rude you see, he didn’t ask if he could stay, he told me that recent circumstances had lead him straight this way.
"What ever do you mean" I said, and he pointed to my heart, "It’s broken into pieces, you’ve all but fallen apart."
At this I exclaimed, and looked down at my chest, he was right, my heart, it was a complete mess.
I stood back for a moment and wondered what to do, sorrow looked at me bleakly, and said as if on cue.
"There’s nothing that can be done here, I’m telling you all is lost, you better make some room, because I’m staying at all cost."
With that I shook my head, and realised with a start, that sorrow was but an illusion, and I alone had the power to fix my heart.

There are eyes watching,
gazing,
sizing you up,
waiting for the right time
to spring.

There are hungry tigers
on the street,
so beware sweet thing.

he asked what I wanted to do. I said
write poetry
or
die.
he said
they were the same.

you who keeps my bed warm
when i wander in the night
you who keeps my mind blank
with your ****** distractions
you who too often asks me about my feelings
like a shy child in the classroom
too scared to get the answer wrong
i only have one feeling
it is tangled up in the dark matter of my mind
a loss of a life, a loss of a love
the life was mine
the love was hers
your questions are shadows
on an empty bedroom wall
because i can't describe her in words anymore.

turn me inside out,
                                 so there is no room to hide.
turn me inside out,
                                 give me a safe haven to confide.
right my wrongs,
                               don't justify them, but understand.

                               let me fall, but give me a place to land.
open me up,
                      paint passion before my eyes.

                      apprise me with all you hold inside.
cry to me,
                  let the pain rain down.
cry to me,
                 we will leave it all in puddles on the ground.
laugh with me,
                          as all else dissipates.
laugh with me,
                          the more endorphins: the more life we create.
sing to me,
                   let your soul bellow out.
sing to me,
                   the words you have sought out.
live with me,
                      but never wander from all that makes you unique.
live with me,
                      not enabling each others native colors to fall bleak.
join me as one,
                          two souls: one heart, forever.
join me as one,
                          individually together.
