Repetition of disappointment.
Am I doing something wrong?
I’m perfect in one moment,
But I’m not so perfect for very long.

Maybe you felt like you needed to be lifted
So you grabbed a pretty face
And my emotions shifted
To a more comfortable place.

And when you decided you didn’t need me anymore,
Or maybe you became distracted,
You let our beautiful plans hit the floor
And now my trust is further impacted.

I finally let another one in
But I should have been happy alone
Because they bruise me from under my skin
And now its dark where the sun once shone.

You stole what I thought would be home
But I guess It was never mine, you must have plenty spaces.
I hope you enjoy your stay, wherever you roam,
And take pleasure in the twisting faces.

Lifeless bodies left behind on your trail,
The attention must feel great.
Unfortunately, everything becomes stale
But by then I will be numb, melancholy marinates.
For her
he was always the man
on the other side of the table.

He was fond of it that way
so he could see her face
read the shades and lights
crack jokes through the grim times
when on the table was little
brimmed plenty in their hearts
and her tears when flowed
were not of unfulfilled needs
but a happiness she couldn’t grasp.

She doesn’t know
what she misses is love
or a mere habit.

She only knows
food doesn’t taste the same
without the man
on the other side of the table.

Lady in a gray dress
calling this a wintry mix

A coastal low with rain and sleet

I reckon so, but it sure seems
like the winter blues to me.

Your presence is tangible
Across the vast expanse
Yet, I hear not your voice
I feel not your longing
Mine, is the only heart I hear
Alone, for the first time in eternity
Alone, wrapped in your essence
Just a whisper of warmth
A choice all your own
To be alone
A choice that you have forgotten
Includes me
For we flow throughout each other
Still, here we are
I feel you trying not to feel me
And I close my eyes
Praying death over a life that begins here
And ends without you
'tis not a choice could I make
'tis not a life...alone

And I could

never learn to

be trusting

living in a

world so full

of strangers,

but only in

love am I

drawn to the

hearts most

dangerous

of dangers.

We are always cautious and safe except when it comes to those we fall in love with and are drawn to. Love is the only exception to danger, and there's somewhat of a liking to it.

Lucy kissed a jawbone
bye beneath a diamond sky

2.8 million years
and a gazillion tears ago

That's a lot of sorrow

for a man
kinda like me.

Shaded Lamp
Parched and lost on the wild moor
Every limb swollen and sore
This journey had taken its share of soul

Then from the east paradise strode
Rains fell and seed was sowed
Two animals sharing the same goal

Our love dried with the rising sun
I dug a deep and bridgeless canyon
A divide and mutual water hole

I watched as she poisoned our well
yet I drank and went straight to Hell
Her tearless eyes always in control

Cast back on that baron moor
Weaker but wiser than before
Only half of a wretched whole

My toothache reminds
me of heartbreak.

The sweetness
that brought it.

As real as a headache.
An abstract thought.

Barbed wire through
a work glove. Old love letter cuts.

Kind of like love, yeah
kinda like love.

Everything heavy
settles
accumulating
as I go about
my external life
like my inner one
doesn't exist

when the tide
recedes
on my knees
in the fetid mud
I will dredge
meaning from
the layers

winter walks with him
death smiled at him
the king of ruins
masquerading like Satan
he speaks acrid language
intense and vile
jolts wildness with each step
runs on hatred boulevard
he feeds on venom
a cold blooded serpent
heinous as hell
a heart of stone

Rip a man's heart out, then bleed it dry. That's your way of saying goodbye.
