You've never seen a mind but you know it exists.
I guess that's the same with faith.

Sun
I am the Sun watch rivers run
Heart beats to a tribal drum
Light beams hum soul strings strum
Ever changing far from done..

Should my child
Steal an apple
From the orchard,
I wouldn't throw
Her out.
That would be a sin.
The consequences
Could be life altering,
World altering
In certain circumstances.
Here I have a teachable moment.
Rejection is the milk of pride.

mother
a simple word
complicated meaning

They say poetry is a way to explain the unexplainable
So here I go:

No words
No poem
No gifts

will ever fully show
my gratitude
my love
for you

But every year I try for you

Why?
Because I love you.

My mother
Amma
Amma is the Tamil translation for mother.

What a glorious, fabulous, wonderful  day,

Captured in memories, forever to stay.

The sun is winking at me, high in the sky,

The palm trees are waving, as I pass them by.

The birds are singing songs just for me,

And the river is babbling away to the sea.

All the dogs are wagging their fluffy tails,

A boat passes by and puffs out her sails.

The flowers bob their heads to say hello,

You cannot help but go with the flow.

The daisies are crazily paving  the lawns,

A sleepy lizard opens his mouth and yawns.

Silver fish are darting and jumping for joy

Honeybees too buzzy, no time to annoy.

Butterflies soar and flicker their wings

Cicadas tap dancing to their clickings.

Under a blanket of blue, I view the whole scene,

My heart pure bliss, my mind serene.

For there you are with the warmth of your smile,

And together in this day we can rest awhile.

When troubles build up mountain-size
Clouds and fog obscure the peak,
You cannot see the pathway up,
The future’s looking bleak,
When there aren’t enough hours in each day
Or enough days in each week,
You’re in a boat without a paddle
In a swiftly moving creek,
Your friends have faded into black,
Your whole life has sprung a leak,
Fate just punched you in the face
So you turned the other cheek.
When others have inherited
What was promised to the meek;
Faith alone can give you strength
And the solace that you seek.

When the morning sun defeats the fog
And brings the light to day
Illuminates the pathway up
And the clouds are pushed away
When the hourglass is full of sand
Each grain longer than a day
Your friends are in the audience for
The commencement of your play
The curtain rises, they applaud
The black has turned to gray,
You fight toward your own ending
Despite what critics say
If virtue is its own reward
Then all will be okay
For the faithful have their just reward
When comes the Judgement Day.

We are still alien
To this paradise
Our journey
Shrouded in
Mystery
This celestial
Space, in space
Navigating
Through eternal
Cosmos
Ever expanding
And becoming
Unknown
Not even a
Glimpse of answers
We seek
As we steer
Through uncertainty
Between
Unknown origins
And Destination

standing regal over-
looking the ocean •
as your light spears
far over the echoing
ripples•i must have
misread your beckon

warned me of impen-
ding doom •  should i
come too near to where
deadly rocks loom• but
strangely enough, i find
myself drawn   so much
closer• like a siren's call
that  could not  sing any
sweeter•now it's too late
to even look back  •   i am
now before you under skies
of black•torn asunder by the
ravenous rocks hidden below
• still I'm mesmerised by your
enchanting glow  • waters here
have been the      grave of many
hulls and bows • but...these last
few moments it's just me and you
