like a glove
no love
like a state
no hate
like a leaf
no fall
like a fort
no wall
like a frame
no art
like an end
no start
like a pond
no wave

~

Chalked up to experience
erasers pounding in a sea of dust
     white marks on black thoughts
over and under the text book meanings
  torn pages litter lost feelings
and no one cares what the teacher’s name is
as the bell rings and hallways fill
with empty stares and blank expressions
          dialing forgotten combinations
*of locker stashed dreams

I won't let you fall,
I won't let you fail.

If challenges come to your tail,
I'll make them know that you're not frail.

Slow it might come but success will be tall,
Don't be disheartened because it's slow as snail.

I strive to be the greatest
and have an audience rise up on their seats
with a deafening applause
and a desire to take that life changing picture.

I strive to be the greatest
to ax the driving darkness
digging into the center of my heart and soul
that my people have pegged
into my back.

I strive to be the greatest
finally able to smile in front of the light
that is but absent in this hole
of which only dreams thrive in.

I strive to be the greatest
that I can lie down
one last time surrounded in white
reliving the moment I smeared the world
in red.

I strive to be the greatest
so I can see you smile that perfect smile
and see I was worth the trouble
that I actually mean something
to someone.

I strive to be the greatest
so I can be part
of the 49% minority
and scream victory from buildings
taller than no other.

I strive to be the greatest
but I'm terrified of
rejection
life
recession
failure
hate
disappointment
loneliness
myself

so help me, God

I'm sitting in my bed
looking at the rain.

I remembered
our first kiss.
It was 2 years ago,
and it was raining...
like today.

I remembered they way
you held my face, and
how you caressed my neck.

I was happy and
I think you were too.

Almost inmediately,
I realized I was in love with you,
probably I already knew that.

A kiss under the rain,
such a cliché.

You've always hated clichés,
I don't know what I was thinking
when I supposed
that I was able
to make you enjoy clichés...
like watching romantic movies,
texting until 2 am,
missing each other,
talking about everything...
but I was wrong,
people don't change.

The sky is almost dark,
the sun is hidden,
you are gone
and I'm crying,
because I've no one to kiss
under this heavy rain.

I was afraid to walk down the street,
There was once,
Thither is a deep hole in the pavement.

I fall,
I come in.
I am a hopeless case.

My animation was a frantic running from silence.
Quietness is the surest sign
that I've died,
About tomorrow nothing is known.

You came into ma life when sm1 else was I dating,
We became friends and it kept on rocking,
But we end up working on unwanted fighting...

U shake ma desk when I was sleeping,
U tease me with ma book when I was reading,
U make me smile when u were annoying...

U call me on ma phone when u were leaving,
U promised to stay touched, abroad u r living,
As u promised..!! Friends we kept on staying..

My feeling grew, on phone we were talking,
U talked abt ur gf's and that's troubling,
I borrowed ma ear n started consoling....

Later got tired and felt ma time wasting,
I end up loosing u and friendship breaking,
I was left alone and kept on regretting...

Some how in life again we started texting,
Ma heart felt it again and starts opening,
I wanted to show ma love and finally proposing...
If you wish for someone
to like you for who you are,
try liking them for who they are.

Before all else, however,
you must accept yourself.

Think,
if the sun stops rising
and the moon shimmering.
who can give them life?
think,
if the whole world
push the mountain but in vain.
who can bring the biggest crane?
and you still say
I want to know
who is there above?
is this not enough?

The breath of autumn dawns
upon the stagnant, sullen ground.
Quaking oh so suddenly,
and spreading whispers round.
The scent of every color
changing tone to tone.
and falling, effervescently
beneath the moon's stark bones.
The silent metamorphosis
creeps from grass to tree,
not accursed or tantalized,
but ever now so free.
They're playing tag with color,
and shedding summer shade,
caressing grass with remnants
of winded leaves as graves.
Now, as the sun decides to set,
and beckon warmth awry.
A streak of color lights the earth,
and collapses in the sky.
