Reach for the blue sky;
Even when you think it's clear,
You'll run into couds.

Look for my electronic soul
In all the places where you found my electronic heart
By the ethereal light of the interwebs,
Through an electronic connection
Dancing to electric heartbeats
Pulled to your electric guitar
Singing words that color me lovely

Messy dread-head led to embed threads of ancient alchemy upon our awakening galaxy
Wings growing through formidable fields of ecstasy
Trekking through a souls migration towards a land of redemption
In a state of rapture, opening ones heart to be recaptured
The moons essence swallows it whole, slowing down to feel the beauty unfold.

I've always searched for a home
a place I belonged, where I felt safe

I've never experienced this kind of home

but as I sit still each morning listening to my breath,
I am coming home to myself as I settle into a
silence of heart and mind
an interior home of the heart that's always with me

out of an arid ocean
You came up
hoary with barnacles
grey with skin

a spray of stars erupted
startled . awash
against its own night

and down again You go
to know the
mating of tendrils
the killing planes of seashores
the antiquities of the sun

were we there once?

in the phosphor seasons
we played with You
as You are even then
so self contained we found
no need to surrender
to the patient
winds of change

now You echo in
strange meridians
storming Your gusts
in far off topography

Your great tail
sings its starlight way
homing to its thunder

~~~
they came
oh, yes, they came
to harvest Your virtues
their decks slick
with Your blood
crimson stains ugly with lucre
their forest of masts
peopled by
Your ghosts
sing ! O leviathan ! sing
lift Your voice and
bellow to us
of Your lost pods
Your wonderful oceans
Your salty maternity
Your
song
is
heard
by
GOD
I believe that the sea mammals
Are far superior to us
In many aspects
They recently found a pod
Of whales beached and
Dying. I don't know
How the scientists figured
This out, but apparently
they had been
CRYING FOR YEARS.
Deep in  the Ocean of Time
Right into the layers of space
Dwelling through infinite dimensions
There existed an atom
It searched for a friend
Found one to its taste
Lost an electron
Gained an electron
A bond was then formed
It has no name
But there was no worry
For name is but an identification
But see there's some more atoms
And they too did the same
A little bit of sacrifice
For love needs it
Lost an electron
Gained an electron
A bond was then formed
They started dancing
Growing in complexity.
Living things, masses of atoms for they were
Dancing a pattern ever more intricate
DNA and protein
Cells and tissues
Life came
At long last man came
He was the observer
Who measures the universe
Out of the cradle
Onto the dry land
Here it is standing
Atoms with consciousness
Matter with curiosity
Stands in the ocean of time
Wondering
Aye
I, a universe of atoms?
Or an atom in the universe?
To Richard Feynman (again)
Posted long back.
I think this is my best poem (proper) till date. Most of the times I manipulate ideas to twist them into poems (almost all of them very short). But rare few times they flow into a verse of quality. This, I think, is one such, excluding haikus.
Want to see how friends here receive it. Of course few of them might have read it.
There are many facets of life
Not all, experienced by us
The length and width differs
Based on the depth
Waiting with a chisel
Carving out a niche
According to our choice
Or events ****** on us
More we delve deeper
We become aware
Of the fathomless core
So much inhabits within
We are not aware
Of the possibilities
Is life what it seems
Or much more than this
Here, I sit and ponder
One fine morning
on my way to work
I met a real dinosaur
in big boots and a mischievous smirk
I’m kinda lonely he said
just visiting this town
I don’t have any friends
and thats bringing me kinda down
He looked kinda sad
with his tiny Dino eyes
I’d have to call in late
and explain it to the office guys
First we went out for ice cream
then we played a video game
He cracked a lot of dinosaur jokes
which were all kinda lame
When he would laugh
his mouth would open wide
Which sorta kinda scared me
and made me want to hide
His Dino tail would wiggle
and his laces would always come loose
It was funny trying to watch him
tie up his dinosaur shoes
Then we went to Iceland
and all the rides were cool
It was really spectacular seeing a dinosaur
floating in the swimming pool
Then we were really hungry
and we went out to dine
He scared all the waiters and waitresses
and drank up all the wine
I climbed up on his back
and he went for a run
Omigosh this day was perfect
I was having so much fun
Everywhere we walked
people screamed and ran
at the big stomping dinosaur
causing all the traffic jams
If only they would listen
If only they could see
Mr. Dinosaur is just a nice guy
just like you and me
Our perfect day was over
Dino had to go back home
probably back to Jurassic Park
and left me here alone
Next morning at work was a ******
such a tiresome bore
I just wanted to leave the office
and run out the office door
When the clock stuck five
I finally decided to leave
I left my dull office
and Lo & behold I just could not believe
Standing before me
in front of my very eyes
stood my dinosaur buddy
what a nice surprise!
We talked and talked for hours
even after dark
and when the day was over
I decided to move in to Jurassic Park
Now we’re never lonely
Dinosaur and me
Dinosaur has a friend
and I have family
pale blue moon
misty eye can see
mossy swamps
a'swimming
a new reality
naked
singing love in
crowded rooms
of red
falling from a
precipice
waking 'fore
you're
dead
eating
what you want to
never getting fat
flying through the air
above an earth
that's flat
nightmare
dreams of
blood
dripping down
the walls
caves lit by
stalagtites
bats winging through
the halls
yellow sky is falling
purple crags crash down
you wake up feeling tense
sweat staining your gown
shroudings of despair
ribbons of delight
dreams will guide
and keep you
through the
watches of the
Always looking around
Every day events unfold
In front of our eyes
And beyond
World is spacious
Abode for us
Why things happen
As they do
Why not any other way
Do we know all
Or, are we in the know at all
What we try to find
May not be there after all
We are on the fringes
Yet to be in the core
Are we afraid of depth
Or think it’s an abyss
Where we will get lost
We look around
Yet we can’t see
What eludes our senses
Just a thought
For us to keep looking
We maybe mirroring it
Without knowledge
H.P. Lovecraft
Through the ghoul-guarded gateways of slumber,
Past the wan-mooned abysses of night,
I have lived o'er my lives without number,
I have sounded all things with my sight;
And I struggle and shriek ere the daybreak, being driven to madness with fright.
I have whirled with the earth at the dawning,
When the sky was a vaporous flame;
I have seen the dark universe yawning
Where the black planets roll without aim,
Where they roll in their horror unheeded, without knowledge or lustre or name.
I had drifted o'er seas without ending,
Under sinister grey-clouded skies,
That the many-forked lightning is rending,
That resound with hysterical cries;
With the moans of invisible daemons, that out of the green waters rise.
I have plunged like a deer through the arches
Of the hoary primoridal grove,
Where the oaks feel the presence that marches,
And stalks on where no spirit dares rove,
And I flee from a thing that surrounds me, and leers through dead branches above.
I have stumbled by cave-ridden mountains
That rise barren and bleak from the plain,
I have drunk of the fog-foetid fountains
That ooze down to the marsh and the main;
And in hot cursed tarns I have seen things, I care not to gaze on again.
I have scanned the vast ivy-clad palace,
I have trod its untenanted hall,
Where the moon rising up from the valleys
Shows the tapestried things on the wall;
Strange figures discordantly woven, that I cannot endure to recall.
I have peered from the casements in wonder
At the mouldering meadows around,
At the many-roofed village laid under
The curse of a grave-girdled ground;
And from rows of white urn-carven marble, I listen intently for sound.
I have haunted the tombs of the ages,
I have flown on the pinions of fear,
Where the smoke-belching Erebus rages;
Where the jokulls loom snow-clad and drear:
And in realms where the sun of the desert consumes what it never can cheer.
I was old when the pharaohs first mounted
The jewel-decked throne by the Nile;
I was old in those epochs uncounted
When I, and I only, was vile;
And Man, yet untainted and happy, dwelt in bliss on the far Arctic isle.
Oh, great was the sin of my spirit,
And great is the reach of its doom;
Not the pity of Heaven can cheer it,
Nor can respite be found in the tomb:
Down the infinite aeons come beating the wings of unmerciful gloom.
Through the ghoul-guarded gateways of slumber,
Past the wan-mooned abysses of night,
I have lived o'er my lives without number,
I have sounded all things with my sight;
And I struggle and shriek ere the daybreak, being driven to madness with fright.
