Are you the surge, triggering the flight of the transcending bird?
the  ultimate mystery, unspeakable, that liberates the seeker.
While awaiting the wingless flight, the moment of soul's effulgence,
you too are a mystery , like the all encompassing spirit, I am one with

The universe is not wholly cognizable, constant transformation
one to something drastically different, and the story never ends.
Known physics, could tell the story, only halfway, the rest is dark
I understand the helplessness of space observatory at Herschel
peering at vast Magellanic cloud galaxy, a mystery in the move.
Is this one/she is the trigger to transform consciousness to super consciousness, wonders the" seeker", embracing each mystic experience
with such eagerness. What he experiences at the time it happens is what the Herschel telescope peering at the large Magellanic cloud in transformation sees!

once I took that gamble there alone in the forest
crawling through leaves brown
was a long while ago
small in the nature of pine and seasons
smelled her tasted
all the berries and leaves
red as blood from my mother
green and wild
I envied
her evolved
and pure forms
limbs keen to
make her forests scream
her fruit
to sway
this day
a long while away
I still look up,
into the canopy of immense
sun peeking through green life
wild, free.

sip
sip from the cup overflowing
generosity is eternal
Sunshine on delicate pink
warms and sweetens blackberry nectar.
Scents of nectar
attracts honeybees.
Amber stripes and transparent wings
weave a tapesry on my canvas.

Early this morning drove my wife into work
Nothing unusual about that
What was unusual though was the clarity of the light
Was a beautiful sunlit morning and I was heading east
Straight into the rising sun
Then I noticed the leaves, reds, golds
In that sunlight they seemed almost translucent as the sun
Shone from behind
Every leaf edged with a misty white halo
I know, just a trick of the early morning light
But in all my 69 years I don't ever remember seeing such a sight

Illusions of permanence are cutting the very
Depth of this mind while it
Overflows with thoughts and
Never-ending clouds bring
'
Tears to remind how
Knowledge is the whirlwind while
Not-knowing is the silent center; still the
Ongoing winds keep tearing down every
Withered leaf from the tree of my heart.

Another one of those late-night poems. Of the kind that don't let go until they're written down on paper, but the moment they're out there, a serenity overtakes your whole being...

Given to dharmas, my ignorance. (?)
Given to paths crossing, to others leaving one
far cast from the shore, my trust. (?)

No current floats alone in the ocean.

Drop by drop be led,
thanking all the way
each unseen life and silver fish guardian,
towards the veracious
colored ring
forever in the distance,
deep and
deep.

Given to the kalpas, my passion. (!)
Truculent waves of time behemoth
rising from the depths
ripple the surface
and show those that thought you long forgotten
the beauty, in the shallows,
of the sunset broken,
dancing. (!)

Giant skyward leaning
shedding leaves, do you dream long
of summer's greening?

The gold of days have waned
the gray rains sway
fall will leave you
cold in winter's lay.

Seemingly a thousand years old
a seedling sown
born of an ancient
maple forest.

Look at this  * * *
... star, space, star, space, star, space....

The space between my fingers
the space between the inhale and exhale
the space between the waves, the ocean and the shore
The space between notes in the music
the space between all and nothing
everything comes from nothing
Nothing-at-All...

* * *

Such a miracle...such a miracle...all is...

Snow melts

Water flows

Making waves on the pavement

Wet legs.
