freedom can be bare feet
or naked
or laughter
freedom can be poetry

I want my poetry to feel to you as such
That I have ripped out your heart
                                and on it I stomped
Broke it into
         a thousand  p     e
                                 i   c  s
                                   e

Placed back in your hands while you stood
on knees shaking

Making you  f
                         a
                            l
                              l

 onto the ground
Begging God for lost love while
your weeps and screams

A     B    O    U   N   D

This may be very vain of me to say
If my poetry did not make you feel that way

*then I am no poet today
Wrote this one day after trying to explain why I write. It's not always this way, but misery does love company..don't get me wrong, I love to write and I love the relief it gives to just get it out. Took me a long time to want to share this one.

Thank you....for I must rank you the highest of all highs by saying only four words I. Love. You. Dad.....although life may be bad at times I can always rely on my rock....my stronghold...for with him I shall not fold to life's pain...thank you...dad

I'm a walking book all you have to do is turn the pages.....my life is a set of stages....paining sin after sin...i'm a disgrace to my own kin....as God poured the bucket of his children into the building....all that was heard was crying...it was a closed casket....

Once upon a distant life,
lived a silken girl of feathery whims,
who loved a rocky, stone-faced man.
She waltzed into his courtyard daily,
and danced for the likes of waxen daisies,
pushing love up 'round his feet.
And by the changing moon
or the wispy wind
he finally let her brightness in
and he took her hand
in a petaled land
and they waltzed until the sun fell in.

.....because love knows no bounds.

These stars in my heart
This magical space debris
Has always been a part of me
From the beginning
These scars on my skin
Merely constellations
That hold a deeper meaning
If you examine them closely

And I know who you are
We share the same scars

This light in my eyes
Shines like a jewell
Like stars in the night
Until I see connections
These scars on my skin
Become a story told
These meanings
Only stars can hold

And I know who you are

The confusion.....the fusion of incoherent words fumble out of my mouth and fade into the wind.....my life all together is just sin after sin...when will we ever learn that this is an uphill battle that we aren't "destined" to even win...

You are
    memorable
       to me
              and
        I was
          probably
                      just
          another face
                in the crowd
            for you.

If her childlike
  self was to see
her now what
would
         she think
would
       the shock
freeze
her heart to a
still beat make
her turn & run
       back to the
dream, the
encounter
      shattering
her
     at the seams
as if
   they were two
elements that
could
not exist together
separated by age
      & heartache,
         everything
that had
  changed, blood,
        brain, dna
or would they
embrace,
     reconnect,
      vow to start
again

I don't have
                       to
                           do
                                Anything

Just                                                        Be

Just breathe
And let the world
Come
          to
              me
Because
I was made to enjoy sunsets
And starlight
The way the waves roll on the beach
And
        really
Nothing I can do
Can make
What is truly

I look up
          I see the moon staring
I look down
And I see the earth singing
I close my eyes
Then I realize the galaxy flirting
                                                  with you
                                                  your eyes
                                                  your vessel
                                                  your soul
                                                  gazing
                                                  rotating
As if You are the center of the galaxy.

And to You, the sun is envious,
And to me, You are insidious.
