Ominous
I like to destroy things with
an anger
that only comes up
when the thing i really wish to
destroy is
myself.

i have problems
the voices are back
someone help me
- - -
if i just keep laughing
maybe i'll die of hysteria
- - -
i wonder if what i am
even counts as living
Oh, **** me.

You said in dreams I am your perfection
I am more than you hoped you'd find
You never dreamed I'd return you affection
I never dreamed you wanted mine

I just want to be untouched by this
Laying on the living room floor like the rug with a black book and some pens,
Old records and their crackling can fill the room but it won't make it better.
I think I'm better left to think for myself and I'm better left to be misunderstood too, maybe.
I don't need you to work out my complexities.

And you said that I could undo you,
Well I already did,
Took off your clothes and pulled you into bed,
I miss you all the time even though you can't tell,
I miss you so much even though you can't tell.

I write about it all the time,
Your mouth, your mattress, your bad habits and everything you tell me .
How come I hid from you when you passed the drugstore window?
I don't know,
I don't know why I do a lot of things.
I just want to be untouched by this.

CARPE DIEM

Let us treasure today
We are not promised tomorrow
Let us seize the day: CARPE DIEM

Let us dance like there's no tomorrow
Let us do things today instead of putting it off until tomorrow
Let us cherish the moment before it rushes away
Let us seize the day: CARPE DIEM

Let us eat all kinds of good food
Lets eat our favorites
Let us read our favorite poems
Let us write some poems too
Let us seize the day: CARPE DIEM

Let us tell our family we love them
Let us call our friends and tell them too
Let us  create some memories and write them down
Let us not take things for granted
Let us not waste today
Let us seize the day: CARPE DIEM
Let us truly live before time slips away
My friend's CARPE DIEM
I am bringing back a revised version for this Monday.
I hope you like it.
CARPE DIEM my friends :)

Love so bitter

Sometimes...yes sometimes
I wish my life was like a movie
With the big crescendo of music
Playing as
Love's warmth
Sinks deep inside

Instead...
I don't even get a goodnight
Let alone some romance
No longer
Do I feel
Love's warmth
Deep inside,
Just me
Cold
With no music

Debt

Uncle Sam my hat's off to you
for ******* up the US of A,
creating debt that surely
we have no hope to repay.
The example you've set the
American people is a shameful
display of incompetence,
buy now pay later, and pay
you will, to me it makes no sense.
My job is based upon credit checks
believe me I've seen it all,
from doctor bills to college debt
watching the beacon score steadily fall.
Wake up America remember your
roots,
don't let politics
stick it to you.
For every dollar, there's something
to save,
don't be a fool sock it away.
When hard times surface, and
surely they will,
you'll have what you need to
pay your bills.
Excuses mean nothing
and the message they send,
we watch every day on CNN.
Promises broken
as we're led to believe,
casting our votes
to those who deceive.
Remember and trust what made this
great nation,
wasn't about debt,
but invention and creation.
When American's worked for Americans
and made in the USA,
meant billions of people united
paid their bills that day.
Why can't we just go back to that
give credit where credit is due,
if you can't afford it today
then debt will surely catch you
too!

I like myself
I try to find
the common ground
in Me and I.

I like myself
I try to find
the common ground
the eye to eye.

(I try to see
the eye to eye)

I like myself
I try to find
the common ground
the desperate sigh.

I spend it all
I spend my time
on basking wounds
in deserts dry.

I like myself
I try to find
the common ground
the Me and I.

The statements made
the inner spy
I escape
the spinner's eye.

I like myself
And by the by
I make myself
the glowing I.

I hate it all.
I hate the cry.

I hate the Me.
I hate the I.

I like myself
I like the spy
I accept
The spinner's eye.

Any song can sound sweet,
if you tune your tone appropriately,
and add a lyric,
with a melody
and I have seen where there is a life,
there is a song
but some songs are not only a love song
that notion was a loop, intense, black and blue passionate song
was not romantic

She was a sad song
and I thought I would know how to make it better
like if I could be the only to love her again,
I believed that everything would fall into a melodious love song
but  I lost a few lines of lyrics
and there was bit melody missing that I couldn't find
and I saw too many scratches on the disc
I couldn't let myself be made no longer
trying to fix her entirety.

If tomorrow was that yesterday,
or that morning
came tonight
if for a moment you could have listened
if you didn't always have to be right

if she realized the words
Get out
really meant
You’d love her help
if you swallowed more than pills
or thought about
more than just yourself

but yesterday left in a sunset
obscured
by a cloud of pride
and for tomorrow
it’s still not too late
but you're running out of time

Often when I laugh
at something funny
either on TV
or book

or conversation,
I pause and feel
guilty that
after your death,

my dear one,
my son,
that humour
could still rear

its head
and cause
my laughter,
as if my laughing

was a kind
of betrayal
of my grief
or a hint

of forgetting you
or a watering down
of the pain I feel.
But it is not,

no less pain is there,
the grief still bites
as strong,
its teeth still sharp

as shark's jaws,
and as for
forgetting you,
my son,

more chance
of forgetting
self or my
own image wiped

from memory's hold.
Laughter's medicine
cannot dull
grief's ache or pain

or bring you
back again,
but it permits
a moment or

two or so
for me to close
my eyes or mind
and let it flow

in a calmer sea,
when there was you
alive and well
and happier me.
ON LAUGHING AFTER THE LOSS OF A SON.
