whatever happened to the quiet time
of advent before Christmas day or eve
is certainly remarkable

no other time of our year
has managed to become so  noisy,
commercialized, stuffed full of special sales
with permahyped unique occasions
that only last for a few hours

Black Friday has become national hysteria day
people camping out overnight before the supermarkets
to be the first
     waving on television
diving into the pool of wonderful things on sale
victoriously placing them under their Xmas trees

the stress this timely acquisition
requires from the donors
just adds another extra to the planning of their days

no time is left for quiet contemplation

and so
what used to be the day to celebrate the birth
of our Christian savior
has turned into a goods exchange
where size and value of bright packages
are meant to substitute
affections muted by the daily chores

maybe a more spiritual mood
might take us back to the original wonder

a legendary birth in that old world of yonder

Silence Screamz
A simple dust covered plastic mistletoe,
that stayed stapled above
the front door all year round
and a carton of Camel smokes wrapped
in red and green wrapping paper,
under the Christmas tree,
with a big silver "store bought" bow on it,
the tag said "Merry Christmas, FROM: SANTA"
is how I remember Christmas.

Ahh!! The Joy of Christmas
and no chestnuts roasting by an open fire.
We did have a real pine tree though.

My highlight of the holidays
was going down to the local VFW
and seeing a "Jolly Old Elf" with a fake beard,
he was really a fat, retired police officer.
But still Saint Nick to an eight year old boy.

You see that was the time when you got
out of the house.
When "he" started downing his
Christmas "spirits" and *******
down those cancer sticks.
The fumes were so thick at times,
I swore I was in LA ,
during rushhour on the 5.

After the frantically ripping open the presents,
us kids would dash off to our bedrooms.
Taking one or two gifts with us,
we created our own
getaway world, our own Christmas of Joy.

Then.

It began.

With voices raised,
even the mice scurried away.
I would wrap the pillows over my ears
and I would pray for peace on earth
and good will toward men.

Ghosts of my Christmas past
still seep into my memory at times
and
they haunt me till this day.
My Christmas past were not all joyful. Have a great holiday, Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or joyous time
Knowing exactly what you want is motivation enough.
jam makers dance
upon the ripe berries
inhaling sweet cherries
spitting out the seeds
like acorns falling
from nests of squirrels
that land tenderly
upon your *******
humanity’s days are roasted
in the fire-pit of the gods
in perfect symmetry we are broken
in repeating patterns and forms
from the mantle of eternity
we fell and smashed the urns
that held our ancient ashes
and kept us safe from thorns
I bet the world would be very different.
All acts would be taken thoughtfully and cautiously,
Peace would prevail,
Education would be deep, not for employments sake but for gaining of knowledge, knowledge to live by and not just make a living from.
Not everyone chooses to think deeply, others are scared they might know the truth, others just don't think they can think beyond opinions.
In every mind lies answers to questions life has to offer,
They always await being drawn out,
If wisdom wasn't an option I'd say its fine to be a fool, but since wisdom is a choice..being a fool is total folly.
Why buy your own downfall when you can choose glory?
Life is tougher for thinkers because everything means something to them,
Its easier for shallow minds because even something may seem like nothing to them,
In as much as life's easier for shallow thinkers, its not safe at all.there's so much to risk.
As for thinkers, solutions are at the tips of their fingers, and they're not scared to find out truths.
And because of this, they reveal truths everyone else might have known but had no way of putting  across or breaking it down..indeed there's nothing new under the sun.
We are all potential philosophers

Mysterious Aries
Lo and behold!
The clergyman knocked
At the door of the ship
To explain to the captain
The hazard of having
A broken engine

The ship was elegant outside
But most people say (people who know this ship)
What's within - a jungle
Snakes, tigers, hyenas
Scorpions, tarantulas, and the likes
Plagued the place
But the clergyman believes
Even jungles have some
Lovely animals too

And he was right
A seem white dove entertain him
Giving him some food and refreshment
Telling him that the engine of the ship
Is the best engine that the clergyman could see
Carrying passenger safety to their destination
Sealed with love and dedication

After the visit of the clergyman to the ship
He asked himself why most people
Condemned this ship
When he himself
Saw no dissatisfaction

And then the clergyman decided
To visit some neighboring ships
And asked them
How would they describe
The ship that he just visited

All of them answered
Almost exactly the same line
"Oh my dear brother,
You cannot salvage anything
On that vessel
Because the captain
Was already swimming at the lake of hell"

SHIP represent the BODY
ENGINE represent the HEART
CAPTAIN represent the SOUL
Say to her i love you
Then never say anything again

*How he broke my heart
Integrity and love filled,
Graced with a beautiful soul,
Greatest man to ever walk the earth..
Gentle and forgiving,
Humility unmatched,
And love unconditional.
JESUS CHRIST is the saviour.
Always ready to take us back as His own to love and to hold despite our faults..

trees wrapped in
glimmering lights
shine and sparkle
under moons night
open land so bright
to run
to slide
snow so white and
soft like clouds
absorbs our bodies fall

pines and firs
a canopy
casting gaze on all below
branch tips wrapped in
delicate ice
magic wands
hovering o're our heads
this eve of moonlit glow
