recall those nights
where we would help ourselves silly and drink ourselves full of unremembrance

how with unbridled fury we would paint a black umbrella in the sky that would rain black rainbows and dull all our memories, from here to then and back

and in our blindness we would forget
that past could never be repented, that we may never escape

that as hard as we may grimace and wish that this life that may remove us, will may never blink out of existence, but endure.
I see beauty
In the ordinary;
To me
Perfection
Was watching him eat
Leftover birthday cake
On the couch
One Saturday morning.

I fell in love with him,
Not after some grand gesture,
But while watching him
Sing High School Musical songs
While he cooked breakfast.

Don't mean to be
Too negative sometimes

But I get tired
Of going through
The same motions

My female friend
Does not come

And neither does
The hug that
Would come from her
Someone drowned
We all line up around the sea as they search for more bodies
A boat turned over on a winter night
Teens can do the dumbest things

The body count triples and so does the tweets
Yelling 'I'm so sorry for your loss' before a mother can even grieve
That's the only thing spoken about for days
Different words fill the air
Most scream-
'They were too young, it's a tragedy'
Then they whisper-
'It was natural selection'

We march to the sea with candles in hand
Most don't even know the names of who died
Yet they act like they have the right to defend the dead

There are no banners
Only street lights directing traffic
and People excited for a story
Not caring who's next
flaxen bold streams of bounded glare
how many past days and men have you caught in paths
of your hair
no answers yet
just a flirting flash
of mystery
winners say its love
losers-misery
your beauty sweeps
long and gathers
songs and embers
old trees and men
burn forgotten
furious furnace
that you are
you are the fury
that dissolves
and disrupts
you are the flood
that cripples
in rumbling tides
of thirst
you steal tomorrow
and today
**** time
without speaking
the seconds break free
and you
bleaken men
to blindness
choke them
with sleeping dust
and bury
them alive
you are the desire
that demands to be known
I am death
I am breath
I am the everless
that sweeps the hollows of whats unkept
devouring and burnt
broken and unlearnt
turn the page
turn over and sink
and drink heavily
into your sleep
I awake large and deep
Patience

The
Strongest

Of
A
Sensible
Man
