The day burns you out
As you wore out, the
Night crawls in
But you're already dead!

It was dry
Hot and humid
Dusty and nasty

Then
It rained
Cool and wet
Soothing and cozy.

A lockdown of everything..

Of our arrogance
Of our mindlessness
Of our ignorance
Of our apathy
Of our cruelty
Of our carelessness

With the lockdown lifted..
Will we change for the better?

Better we do..!!!

oh
what
sweet light
that
flows
through
the
eyes of a rose
shall
blossom
in my heart
where
all the light goes

Smell the
newborn puppies;
placenta from heaven,
like candy canes and
burning leaves.
Stay green as long as
you can.
Drink up the sunrise like
a chocolate malt;
because tomorrow comes
with a sigh...

We poets were a sensitive lot
in a world that shat on us
although we fought.

I fell in love with a dream,
and then I woke up.
It felt like a gut punch.
I wanted so badly for
the dream to be real,
but it wasn't.

The antonym for
dream is
reality.
And the reality
was
that she could
never love me
like I loved her.

My friends took new oaths
In this nice new year...
Changed their paths..
Too amazing to hear

But..I remained still
To be strong 'nd bold
That made me fill
And I'm 20 years old...
