                    Reckless stabs,
                    impulsive jabs
                    and caustic words we don't mean.

                    Contentment,
                    count­ing blessings
                    and hope we can glean.

in every case, the Sun is undone over Time.
but the night, assured as a loose tooth -
is a destiny.
but the Light endures regardless.
ever so wane in the flesh
as we wither without Answer....
and Question
without Knowing.

our prayers are paper cranes
lodged in the wind myth
of our tight spot.
a blind thing, that has no mother
but the moonlit crevasse
of our last
Hope.

though we hope
not.

pin me
like the pain
strung you up inside

seize me at the scalp
by a fistful unannounced
like the haunts startled you
from behind

drain me at the jugular
like the want bled you dry
then turn me out
blood-starved

unhinge you into me
like the doorslam stripped
that oxidized adamantine

exorcise we
entertain these demons
till they are screaming
safe words

My head is on the pillow
Heart echoes in my ear
I pull my warming arms
out from neath the  covers


Searching for a familiar arm
a familiar leg
I pull it under
My warm fuzzy friend
hold it to my *****
Now restlessness will end

The sun set beautiful
Red and orange
Mixed across the sky
