Choreographing words
Into theatrical dances
With her imagination,

Gracefully exhibiting
All of her thoughts -
Using letters
As lavish decoration.

Having them leap-out
Onto the stage,
Outside of her mind,

Hoping each performance,
"Her life's story,"
You will find.

Err
Conversation with one's reason is a road without error
Come with me
Through the noise
And the disarray

The deafening tones
Of screaming children
And dying adults
(Millennials probably
We both know
That they never
Shut up)

The world
Around ourselves
Is a path
Of broken glass
Atop coal embers,
So I beg you
To hold my hand
And walk through them
With me
I'm writing my feelings down,
to let people know how it feels to be me.

I learned of life’s fragility
as I left home for

fourth-grade class
one May morning

to find boots with
a body attached

under our tall
juniper
tree.

when my heart bleeds ink,
and when my pen sheds blood, please
know it's about you.
