Another dream

Another poem you'll never read
Another night I run on all fours
Wild and free.
Another car in the driveway
That was never made
A neighborhood my self conscious subconsciousness
somehow decided to create -
Two male bodies that bear no threat
But to me and my dealings my stomach upset -
Another kiss I never thought I'd taste -
Like flat rinsed toxins running across my face -
My eyes and fingertips forced together
Please don't wake me up
I wish to stay with you forever.

Can you not see me? Am I not there?
I used to be everything to you, now you just don't care

If we pass in the street, you look the other way
I hope to catch your eye but you shy away

You're with someone else now, laughing at his jokes
Fluttering your eyes and lighting up his smokes

I don't even know him but I hope he hurts
When it's his turn to watch your sly little flirts

Feel the pain that I felt as you slipped away from me
Saying "it's me not you" as you explain you must be free

A cloud hangs over me, my stomach has cramps, a knot
What's the point of carrying on?
None, that is what

You told me you
              Couldn't find your way
                                     In your darkest nights
So I left you a star
               A star in every poem
                               To find your way home
//On her//
Thank you all for loving this poem so much! It's such an honor to have a daily poem.
I wrote this for a special someone in my life.
Slicing the seams of my overstuffed heart
and bleeding out meaningless love.....
I let you become my world
I called you home
And when you left
I didn't know where to go

So I ran to the streets of France
And climbed the hills of Italy
I swam with mermaids in the  Mediterranean
And found secrets in the countryside of Ireland

I walked where kings walked
Traced the footsteps of men who changed the world
I fell in love with places
And was overwhelmed with the kindness of strangers

And when I stood at the top of the world
I was humbled at its size
And discovered what a small piece you are
Of my grand story

It is not that I can not love myself
Rather it is that I do not understand why
you can not love me as much
as I do
I am a shooting star thunder-
you can not just see or hear me
you must feel me, embrace me
a bright rumble people wait their lives to see
I am flashing by
love me
love me
you are your own albatross
I am my own heroine
how did you get so lost?
Just look to the sky- you will find me soaring
