Remember

When you look at the night sky
see my despair
And dream on
to remember when you wake
because I'll be there
The ghost of despair
This poem is from my book "The dark poetic march" (TBR 2017)
I wrote it because I hope that those who cause despair remember the agony they have caused.

Where love sleeps

Morning will be here
soon enough says the moon,

only the night knows the truth
that lies dark in your heart

where love sleeps forever,
deep, and never dreaming.

Phantom fog

Looking back at the years
through the fog,
sorting the memories
that are real
from the phantoms
that long
for the castle and the throne
that have fallen.

I recall
her lost smile

like a sketch
I draw from my memory

and those days in the rain
laughing, drops

hitting the creek
slow as a dream

until a shadow
fell across the mirror

brushing her hair
in a dark room

like a honeycomb
of sad bees

and double entendres
two lifetimes ago.

Dear Alex,

I listened to President Obama read the letter you wrote today,
To an unfortunate little boy from Aleppo, and how you’d like to be his protege.
In preparation for his visit, you would gather all you’re most precious possessions,
Offering to him love, friendship and a gift called freedom of expression.

You would teach him and he would share his world with you,
A bonding camaraderie colored in Red, White and Blue.
You my friend, have a heart of gold like a treasure untold,
Because showing love to others…..is a longing in your soul.

Thanks you Alex!
I read this amazing letter by 6 year old named Alex. I hope you'll take a minute to read it.  http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/6-year-old-sends-obama-inspiring-message-about-syrian-refugee-n652641

Such a beautiful song/
The rhythm of the words
Guide me and carry on/

Write. Write so much your hand aches from long nights spent love-making to your paper. Write because the word dandelion is beautiful, and so are girls and so is life. Think less about why he hurt you and more about words similar to fearless or independent. Question the stanzas, but stop at nothing to bleed the pain of yesterday.

Write- because this isn't art- this is survival.
Somethings we must keep reminding ourselves.

I fear that what I look forward to may never come back--
that he's dancing with the dust I'm choking on.
