Breath me in;
taste the fear.
Shank my skin;
stand and cheer.

Kick my head;
let me bleed.
Unbolt my veins;
enjoy the read.

Gouge my eyes;
punch my face.
Wrap me up
in your embrace.

Pain is better than numbness,
because at least I can feel
my life not just move through it.

and big white clouds ran across the sky

someone held you tight
and told you, "i love you"
admired you
and cherished you

all of your love poured out

you inspired
and you soared

fearful

Scattered books and pens
A noose hanging from the roof
The ink running dry

I still pine
       for what I’ve lost
               the promise and
                               fulfillment.

I still search my memory
                for hidden fragments
                                 of that treasure.

     Time has covered
                some of them in
                            shadows of nostalgia.

     But the flaming pain
                        still brightly burns and
                                      tears will not extinguish it.
