Sweet Honey
Emily Apr 2020
Hello there busy Bee
Buzz around and pollinate this tree
Oh! And make some sweet honey for Me!
Emily Mar 2020
A good friend loves at all times

Through thick and thin
Up and downs
Forwards and back
Sideways left and right
A friend always stands by

It doesn’t matter
What the situation may be
Or who it concerns
A friend is always there

They are there to lend a hand
A shoulder to cry on
Or a shoulder to lean against
Someone to hug
Or rub your shoulders
Someone to listen or give advise
A good friend does this out of love

Out of love, a good friend will be
Honest and kind
Caring and supportive
Listening and responsive
And always willing to stand by you
Even if they are the only one
Just to name a few

A friendship built with love
Will be everlasting
It will be unique
Unconditional
Selfless
And it will be a joy

A good friend loves at all times
Proverbs 17:17
A poem inspired by the  verse “A good friend loves at all times” From Proverbs 17:17

What Music Produces
Emily Mar 2020
Harmonies and melodies music is comprised
Creating joyous tunes for the ear to enjoy
Dancers move in patterns synchronized
While feet are busy creating dance moves deploy

Round and round in a circle dancers go
Swinging their partners all a-twirl
They turn and spin
Careful not to step on feet below

Even as the music ends
Notes lingering in listeners ears
Long heartfelt gazes extend
Past the present and into many before years

Clasped hands linger, as if glued together
Adoring and hungry gazes beheld
Dreams of continued better forever
Are the only concerns upheld

Inside
Emily Mar 2020
I can feel it within
Growing bigger and bigger
Twisting and pulsing

It feeds off negativity
Little quirks that make me crazy
Laziness and lacking responsibility

It grows and grows
Festering inside
Until finally it boils over
Only to restart again

From Afar
Emily Mar 2020
I see the golden rays of sunshine
On the street and against the houses
I long to bask in it
And absorb all of warmth and beauty

There are trees blossoming
Flowers are blooming
Bees are busy zooming

Oh how beautiful it is outside
I wonder what the parks might be like

But alas, I cannot go
I am to stay inside
Only to observe nature’s greatness
From my clear glass window
