i know who you are
a day dreamer like me
hoping, longing for better
anxiously searching for pleasant unknown
that dream to call your own
nonetheless, your soul feels shaggy
that goal you had is now a fleck
yet
you hold on
you might let go of all but your dream
that dream where nothing is confined
still holds glimmer of your  light
so
shield it from next gale of  critic disapprove
because you know gentle breeze will follow
that glimmer will spark and glow
breathe one more day and see
it was not just a dream at all
but cremated shards of reality.
Days are dark, nights lay long,
Burning bridges keep us warm.
Wearily walking this road again
We bare the weight of the tinder,
The whispers and the flame.

What was once,
Shall never be the same.
The past floats as ash
Shadows cast on fallen rain.
While the willows weep in vain
The canopies confer in koans
The wind is passing wisdom,
Through leaves and seeds unsown.
We were poets,
Once,
Hearts etched upon our sleeve
The lords of our intent,
Words bloomed for all to see.
Each branch of thought considered,
Chiseled,
Whittled to express.
Carving the forest in our likeness
We paved the landscape with our breath.
Woods would sway in idle days
Sunkissed glades lay bathed in gold.
Nights waylaid by dancing maids
Cheap ale and tales of old.
Fires burn, flames unfold.
Though
Embers remember
Tender clutch of the cold.
We tend to forget the bargained,
The sold.
Up rivers and creeks,
Paddles, disowned by the meek,
Cast away to distant shores.
Glades decay,
Fade to grey.

We become poets once more.
Pungent coffee stains with the magnificent for company,
I spill a drop in a background of shiny metals creating an orchestral symphony.
Sitting in the boulevard I chase words into poetry,
Alongside the parades of chaos singing a different symmetry.
I write of sunsets, birds, kisses and seas,
I even write about branches on broken trees;
Of tales where the hero is the villain,
and those who felt pain in dol multipled them a trillion.
Of lonesome characters that wrote letters of love,
they even defied their gods above.

It was his eyes that made me drink black coffee,
no sugar, no cream, not even toffee.
Deep, dark and bitter was the way he was;
I even went to ‘Home Bakery’ just because.
Decoctions of coffee comforted my freezing moments,
heartbreak came to me in brief installments.
Like most of my men with no names,
my heart burned without any flames.

I love him like I love my coffee,
and you must believe me when I say
I will perish like the aroma of the first brew.
-for Easter, on a body appearing in the melting snow

You can see now...
you can breathe, freely:
nothing can touch you now.

Cry, suffer, die ...for a brother
     - by brothers you may live.

Every person has his breaking point,
I turned to drugs to ease the pain.
Do look down on me, a mirror,
having you reborn, a man again.

     Innocent like a still-born child,
     faithful like a sleeping foetus,
     ready like a falling seed.

Today it's me,
tomorrow... you.
Let them sleep roughly now.

Stanza#1 quotes a woman who lives on the streets, lamenting her halfbrother who died of hypothermia while drinking alcohol in the freezing cold.
Stanza#2 is from a Canadian war cemetry in Europe (pro amicis mortui amicis vivimus - paraphrased)
Stanza#3 depicts death inside of us, while we live in good health.
Stanza#4 I would really like on my grave (wishful thinking of course).
Stanza#5 quotes the good old Roman hodie mihi, cras tibi.
Where did you come from
I'm not ready for devastation
You sang a tune new
Though I've heard it before
You r hearts been Hurt    So
I'll just apply pressure to the sore

So let Us split ourselves in two pieces
As we fall like bombs on our oasis
All the masses dialed into the Fist
Watch the world smoldering in the Mist

Will the moon stay still in shadows

Will this heart ache survive the battles

Blades ohm b fore heads bow 2 gallows

Eyes shut sight white push from the gut hold the altos

Creme d la rouge fades to sage sea emotion shallow

Severed head from heart remembers the start
When love was too vast to paddle
when it feels like the hurting never ends
i swear
that smile can fix everything

with just that one look
i can feel all the collapsed pieces of my life
forthcoming from the rubble
but then you leave
as you always do now
and that gracious grin follows

then i remember
you're not mine to keep
and unfortunately
it’s a merciless existence
without you

I love when you
sleep talk
And breathe heavy
on my chest
I love when you shiver
turning blankets into nests
And eyelashes fluttering
small birds taking flight
I love when you
sleep talk
And hold me close
at night
