Why do I not write
Poems about good feelings
Will they ever last?

If I write poems
About the good feelings then
Maybe they will last.
One day
some day
soon
all of this
will
and
is about to
come to an end

Let it

Until then live every moment
and love today

If she is the sky
And he is of earth
If she spans the height
He is the girth

Where are you?

Here between these lines
Spoken but unheard
Seen but invisible
Once first, now third

Again you ask
If I believe
I’ve felt the
Ground shake
I’ve been deceived
One way or the other
We all crash and burn
All these years of living
We still haven’t learn

Judgements
We’ve placed
On each other
I want no part
Any longer

milk and honey
on your lips
your perfume
sweet and soft
a milky bath
soak it in
dripping from my skin
taste it on your tongue
warm in my arms
sticky and smooth
like the way you make me feel

As he left for war,
with fear galore.
On the lonely streets,
She waited.

As he grew weary of walk,
  weary of war,
  & cursed his fate,
  She waited.

     As he dreamt of her,
     each forlorn night,
     when cold birthed frostbite,
     She waited.

        When winter approached,
        & food scarce,
        By the dying embers,
        She waited.

          As spring drew near,
          The springs in her heart
grew weak. On her death bed,
          She breathes her last.

              With his hand in hers,
               He waited.
On a sombre note.
