Gravity died,
Or so it seemed to us, who were to die,
All loose objects vortical,
Yet static,
                 car spinning,
side over side, the policeman said,
No one could've survived,
Radial blur
All in the rearview
Thud of impact, Thud of stillness
No screams till the spinning wheel ceased
and then only one,
                                 melting like snow upon asphalt.
slapped across the cheek
this is what you thought of me
maybe i have been weak
i needed to see what you see
to be chewed up and spit out
be stomped into the ground
to flinch at words from your mouth
needed to be shaken back to the reality of now

Empire
I want to lie in the low lights
Listen to loud alternative music
Feel chemicals relaxing my body
And forget
I’m not okay (I promise)

Michael
Don’t confuse the two
Happiness and Love.
They usually go together
Hand-in-hand,
But they are not the same.

I can Love and still be miserable
I can be Happy and not Love
Ultimately,
Find someone who gives you both.
And you’re set
Now They can’t use you.
More like an unexpected surprise of advice. What do you think?

Traveler
I must confess
I keep pictures of slave-owners
Well more or less
In my wallet
Sea-foam green
Fine frog hairs
Cash I mean
Picture printed on the backs of hemp
Were they heroes or merely wimps

Even my coins are incline
They shine the barbarism of our kind
Every penny,quarter, nickle, dime
Somehow they spend just fine

Smash the statues
Change their names
From your cultural war
I will abstain

Yet I need my money just the same!
Traveler Tim
Break my bones;
cut my throat.
Pull me open,
learn the ropes.

Breath me in;
taste the fear.
Shank my skin;
stand and cheer.

Kick my head;
let me bleed.
Unbolt my veins;
enjoy the read.

Gouge my eyes;
punch my face.
Wrap me up
in your embrace.
Get to know me like I do you; inside and out.

Rachel
For I cannot bear to cut you off
I will live with the open sores
Waiting for a word from you
To be finally restored
I wish I didn't sow the seed to my own destruction
