A letter to mama
Ibekwe ifeanyi c Oct 2020
Today mama am signing off
In this suite and am ever gorgeous
Am emotional that I made you proud and ever pompous
You raised me with value and to never show off
But rather to strive and always grow up
I wish father was here to gaze at his face ever joyous
I am through but yet I  forever move forth
I love you mama though I've never spoke thus
Just graduated from the university officially and making my mama proud
Now I have yo move on to the next stage

Cryless
Ibekwe ifeanyi c Oct 2020
What a waste
Waste of beauty, potentials and dreams
I guess she had plans for the future like you and me
What to do and what to be
like a dust blown into the air
They're now ascended into space
Ourselves we must now brace
Her demise a hidden message only for an eloquent ace
But don't stop trusting in his(God) imminient grace
For she has gotten to the end of her very race
The day will wake and she will not stir
You will call her name but she lay still
Glance At her preferred spot and she's not there
You will gaze upon her meadow saffron but she won't care
Because She has gone into the darkness
But her smile in our hearts remainst the brightest
I will miss her the slightest
So I write you dry your tears
While she's laid to rest
I urge you cryless
A tribute written to console a friend of mine who lost a beloved friend of hers
Sorry she had to pass on so soon.
The title can also be waste or cryless depends on the readers
Wrote this poem for her(my friend) to stop her from shading tears

I will miss you
Ibekwe ifeanyi c Oct 2020
I had to leave you behind
Hoping you understand my plight
I had to move on knowing am just but leaving your sight
This page is the end of the old chapter of my life
Now am leaving the city that I love
But it wasn't about the city or you
Rather doing what am expected to do
So I urge you to seek salvation in a way that's true
I will always cherish this memory of two
I will miss everyone and I hope the same too
I have gotten to the end of my service year and I will miss everyone, but I have to move on. I hope they miss me

He died!!!
Ibekwe ifeanyi c Oct 2020
He tried to breathe but couldn't
He gasped
He called for help from peers
They laughed
They called him a joker inert
He cried
If only they knew his plight
They don't
He sinking with struggle
paralyzed
He dropped to the deepest deep
Inundated
Unseen when it's time to depart
Alarmed
Maybe he've gone to another side
They bluffed
The search is over he's yet unfound
They dived
To the deep in search of him
Unfound
More crowd commenced the search
Announced
For hours they were without a lead
Confused
Then a diver saw a figure floating freely beneath the deep
He drowned
They came afloat but still he lay
He died
This is an ode to my little brother who drowned

Only if
Ibekwe ifeanyi c Oct 2020
Is the blue sea not a sight to behold
Are dolphins not lovely to watch
Are the seasons not enticing enough
Is the view from the mountain top not pleasurable after the climb
If only we can find love in the smoothness of green grasses
We'd realise true happiness isn't in abundance of green currencies
Only when we fall in love with the true gifts of nature
We'd appreciate the value of every other creatures
We'd find pleasure in it and seek less treasures
only if we can!!!!

Sticking with poetry
Ibekwe ifeanyi c Oct 2020
Am sticking with poetry
Hoping it be necessary
Whenever I write it seeming like a remedy
My soul ushered with liberty
Serving my mind tranquility
My eyes made open to the sweetness of the melody
Extinguishing severe malady
I start to taste truth hidden in written fallacy
Glancing through my dictionary
Sapping words consistently
Poetry unviels these and more occasionally
This is meant to be another version of my poem #poerty

If wishes were horses
Ibekwe ifeanyi c Sep 2020
If wishes where horses
I'd be glad to ride
I'd take a chance and sail to the sky
If wishes where horses it'd be nice
I'd grow feathers wings and fly
I'd harness the sun and keep the rain
I'd be sure there'd be much to gain
If wishes were horses let's be plain
We'd wish to pulverize all our pains
Yet these and more did keep us sane
If wishes were horses as we dream
It won't be enough to quench our greed
If wishes were horses
I'd wish mind be let free
Free from thoughts of adversary
I'd wish the waters flew through me
To cleanse my soul and gladden it
If wishes were horse as it should be
I'd live in abundance of treasure and pleasures
I'd cross the borders in seek of adventures
If only wishes were horses no it's not
Or horses could grant wishes yet they can't
If wishes were horses or horses were wishes very funny

The illusion
Ibekwe ifeanyi c Sep 2020
I am the one in suit made of nigh
The person with the blood behind the axe
The signs you'd see beneath the sky
The words you hear in a moment of wild
I became thoughts you never wish you had
The lips with kisses for every child
A calm you feel when in your mind
A spark of blast at leisure time
Like a love that comes through a while
I am the dancer whose clothes are rags
I sail but only at the center of your minds
My crew are made of wood and skulls full of thoughts
I creeps into the fawnest minds
I etch unto the tauntless nous
I am  lurking behind their every words
I heal but a day with me hurts
I crawl into your heart and live only in your head
I am those voices you hear when In your bed
The breeze that tilts the window head
Image flashes with shadows unclear
I am creatures in the dark whom thoughts you hear
The one that increase with your slightest fear
I am the illusion!!!.

Poetry
Ibekwe ifeanyi c Sep 2020
In the world of poetry
Our minds are freed to see things differently
Poetry reaches to the depth
Unlocks the vault whence the soul is kept
Revolving around the universe but in a room
In poetry is sept
Where words are used distinctly with no boos
You have the sea flowing only to you
In the world of poetry
Meaning to words are all but feeling
At times you feel inspirations are thinning
In the world of poetry not one is loosing

MY FEARS
Ibekwe ifeanyi c Sep 2020
I FEAR THINGS THAT LURKS AT CORNERS DIRE
CREATURES THAT CREEPS INTO THE MINDS AND MAKE “EM DARK
I FEAR CATS I FEAR BATS
THEY ARE THE SAME AT THE PLACES OF DARK
THEIR EYES ARE MELANCHOLY BLEACHED WITH PEACH BLACK
I FEAR SNAKES AND THEIR HISSING SOUND
I SHRIEK AT THEIR SINOUS SIMPLE SIGHT
I FEAR HOLES THAT DEEPEN WITH AN ECHO SOUND
I GET NUMB AT THE SCREECHES OF A CAR
I FEAR GROUPS I FEAR CROWDS
A LOOK AT ME MIGHT MAKE ME PROUD
I FEAR BOYS I FEAR GIRLS
I DON’T TELL I MIGHT GET SOME SHRILLING THRILLS
I FEAR FRIENDS I DON’T YET HAVE
I LONG FOR MY PAST WHERE FEAR DOESN’T LAST
I FEAR I MIGHT NOT GET THE LOVE THAT LAST
I FEAR STORIES THAT MAKES CHILDREN CRY
I FEAR PITY I FEAR HATE
THESE ARE FRIENDS THAT THRIVE HAND IN HAND
I FEAR WORDS I FEAR THOUGHTS
ALONE THEY MAKES ME SAD

FOR ALL THEY LOVE ARE THINGS I FEAR
THINGS THAT STINGS THOSE THAT BITES
THE MORE THEY CARE THE WORSE I FEAR
I FEAR TEST I DEFER QUEST
THESE ARE SCHEMES TO SUNDER OUT THE WORST
I FEAR DEATH I FEAR DEARTH
I FEAR ONE DAY WHEN WE ALL WILL BE LAID TO EARTH
I FEAR THINGS OF WHICH I CAN’T SEE
OF BECOMING THE PERSON WHOM I FEAR TOO
I FEAR EVIL I FEAR THING WHICH ARE BLIND AND CAN SEE
I FEAR TREES LOOKING DOWN FROM THE TOP
BREEZES IN THE DARK WITH MY CANDLES ON
STUCTURES MIGHT LEAPING INTO THE SKY

I FEAR THIS I FEAR THAT I FEAR MOST EARTH’S MOLTEN ZONE
I LIKE RAIN, TO GET WET THEN THE FEAR OF CATCHING COLD
I PLAY GAMES FOR PLEASURE BUT IN TIME AM ALREADY BORED
I FEAR I HAVE TO HATE A FEW THINGS AND YET I CAN’T BE BROAD
I FEAR DECISIONS WHICH I’VE MADE SOME OF WHICH I CAN’T TAKE BACK
MANY A THING WHICH I FEAR NOW I FEAR LIVING IN FEAR.
My life recently have been characterised by unnecessary fear

Great wreck
Ibekwe ifeanyi c Sep 2020
This could have been you and I
You and I nursing our wounds of love
Thence a great wreck awaits ashore
If we had started a journey with nothing assured
This could have been our great little ship
Blown away by just a mighty gentle breeze
Like thus which gladens the trees
This could have been us living in mistrust
Of what is wrong and who is first
I stayed aloof of thoughts which haunts
My emotional being it could likely distort
Thoughts of a great wreck at the big open sea

Voices
Ibekwe ifeanyi c Sep 2020
I heard them again in my head so loud
So real I thought It came directly from the cloud
By my side it always stays and deftly shout
It comes it goes like the day and nigh
Nothing but troubles breeds my mind
I can't concentrate without all my heart
Then through my mind it tour me apart
I stand and doubt every time of an hour
A look at me is filled with worries
I wonder will ever all be stories
It says to me the things am not
Some good but bad and mostly worse
Oh! Does anyone else hear voices in their heads
Do anybody else have to beat their chest
Do they always need assurance of being the best
Can they speak fluently yet not tilt their heads
Are their not guilty persons whose minds are free
What do I have to do to have me be
Is it not a features of insanity
Can I not live like other folks who are free
Can I not make my choices and be good with it
Can I not roar of thought that's not from me
Can i not hear these voices!
Lots of voices whispers to my mind

Days
Ibekwe ifeanyi c Sep 2020
I have always longed for days when I will dance in the rain
Days when I feel cold but less pain
I have longed to feel the drops of falling waters on my skin
The smells of dropping water at dry sand
I love to watch the sun as it sets and and feel the moon as it glows
The ocean waves as it flows
The morning birds in thier glory
The title may seem awkward a bit

You
Ibekwe ifeanyi c Sep 2020
You
It should be me kissing you
But now am missing you
It's a shame that I've broken you
Wasn't me but I think I've wronged you
I never thought I was loving you
Yet I see I have loosened you
We were in love but I wasn't loving you
I thought I was playing you
Now who played who

I played hard but softened by you
Couldn't help but fall deeply for you
It hurts as am seeing you
With him and he's kissing you
Now see am truly missing you
Last night I was happy for kissing you
Awoke but it was me dreaming of you
On a second chance I will keep choosing you
Only this time I will never hurt you
I thought I've got the best of you
But nay you took the best from me
Now my best was from you
Oh I've lost a treasure in you
Now look at you!

I knew I was taking advantage of you
But see who have gotten you
Now I see a different kind of you
Just looking at you from a different point of view
I realise I was just messing with you
Now am messed and it's all because of you
I forever regret ever playing you
But am back and am begging you
I've change just to be with you
I wish I was loving you
I thought I was fooling you
But look who is fooling who
Am sad and am calling you
Please come let's start anew

Call me a fool
Ibekwe ifeanyi c Sep 2020
Before you call me a fool
Care to place yourself in my shoes
Be sure you'd do better with similar tools
You'd stay calm if it was ever you
Before you raise you voice
Know the reason of my choice
I foresee a blessing in disguise
With the only person whom you despise
Before you judge me
Taken a moment and adviced me
Yet you call me a fool a fool of love
I know my choice to you was off
my rights are now become your wrong
Yes your hate for me is broad
But if I ever was wrong for once
Then call me a fool if its right

Close your eyes!
Ibekwe ifeanyi c Sep 2020
Close your eyes and you'd see
You'd see things which are of golds worth
You'd feel emotions draw forth
Close your eyes and dream
Dream of the day which is yet to be
Dream of the world where you wish to live
Dream of the life without sympathy
A place where there's no need for wars
Where we all embrace the love within nature's wall

Close your eyes and dream
Dream of when we will wake from this our illusive dream
Dream of when humanity will only think of peace
Close your eyes and feel the length of love from the breeze
The depth of the air as we breath
The fate of creature beneath the sea

Close your eyes and think
Think of how far we've gone
How bitter we've become
Think of the weapons we've invent
Out of hate, fear and contempt
Close your eyes and you'd see
You'd see beauty all over you
You'd see colours to gladen you
You'd see the sky hovering over you
You'd feel the earth crawling unto you
Just close your eyes Only if you can
And only open it against evil!

That man is no more
Ibekwe ifeanyi c Sep 2020
Smiles on his beauty ebony face
Teeth with a brightly shiny gape
Cheeks with a slightly skin ache
A mark of elderly little grimace
Defines a facially recognisable ace
That man is no more!!
Stubborn as an angryly grieving bull
Never a penchant for selfishness and fools
The dreams of every hard working dude
That man is no more!!!
This poem is in sweet memory of my late father whom am trying very hard not forget his face
Because he is #no more

Loneliness
Ibekwe ifeanyi c Sep 2020
Loneliness is bad they say, it kills
Yet in it I've found healing
Flee from it and live long
But in it my life have been prolong
Find someone and give no room
Depart lest it become your doom
But look it has found a home in my room
While my door was wide ajar it came
And it brought me more company
Like an island in the middle of the ocean
It came as a lost sailor ready for adventure
Loneliness have led me to my path of salvation
On it I renewed my dedication
I have been lonely a quarter of my life
Most moments i see my self as daft
Until I chose this path and am glad it changed my life

Loved by nature
Ibekwe ifeanyi c Sep 2020
I have fallen in love don't ask me who
I've seen the light just ask me where
I've drank from the fountain of love
I swim in the eternal sweetness of pleasures
I've taken the chance and absconded with treasures
Every day I return and can't get more any less
Any moment I arrive there starts my very best
Every second I stay it seems like the first
My eyes are shut but I see the world and beyond
I know my heart and my love knows itself
I have found love with nature forever fresh

— The End —
