A passage, one of right.
Clumsy heels raise to pointe and force me ever on.

The lights, bulbs of promise
And blades, sharp reminders.
It's just another thing hanging over my head, I remind myself
The house sighs and my throat catches fire
There's something in the air here.

The flowers are dying and I worry that I might be too.
I trade their water for well wishes and wash the smoke down with it.
After all, black veins can't get any blacker,
I am what I am and I am tired of wagging tongues.
A stab is righteous, a slit is sin.
You bleed red,
But every colour flows in me at once

So tell me I know nothing,
I know not of truth.
State my transgressions and give me your transfusion.
April 2014
No matter my smile or good cheer
The light cannot penetrate the depths of your long night of tears
It is not for me to exist in the darkness
But instead to bring you to the surface
From winter’s freezing
To spring’s thawing
Words you’ve heard before
Pretty and nothing more
But the depths where you learned to hold your breath
Are where poets and painters drown in a lonely death
Where hearts break into singular pieces like an arpeggio
The alternating silence of humility and the pain inside your ego
Let my whispers carry the weight of  the ocean you created
The rivers that flow from inside you have left your heart naked
But what I might not understand about why
I can trouble your sorrows long enough for you to see the sky
Extremism
Communism
Socialism
Fascism
Bigotry
Slavery
Misogyny
All futility...
Humans need to want to change their attitudes,
Tolerance taught to chicks and dudes,
Set daily peace intention,
No dumb arguments for attention,
Here's a job for your 'my sons',
On every building,  a roof top garden,
Their future is not too far on,
Instead of guns, grow oxygen.
Yes, a 'silent spring' indeed,
When humans destroy all plants and trees,
Why not use compacted plastic for building beams?
Think of your own creative solutions,
Nukes and munitions are mind pollutions!
How futile would be genocide museums?
With no one on Earth left to see 'em!
Every wavering breath
Is more peaceful than the last
Holding a sharpened knife
Bleeding away the past
Sometimes the world is grey
And I just feel numb
Sometimes I want to slip away
With the smoking barrel of a gun
Yet each morning I wake up
Blue skies or rain
I dress myself in lies
To try to hide the pain
And here I am again
Breathing in the sorrow
The only thing I wonder
Is if I'll wake up tomorrow

Lamb
The light blares red
Ordering me to obey
To stay is what's screaming in my head
I choose not to live this way
I thrive on dysfunction
The hunt for affection
I cannot be controlled
Or be put on hold
If you push, I'll pull

I do not comply
I take what's mine
Telling a life of lies
I am secretive
But this is the life I live
I call the shots
Taking the first spot
Craving more
Always one to be sure
I put up a fight
I run red lights

When others see red
I am blinded by greens
People claim I am mean
A deceitful machine
I chose to put on this mask
Never relaxed
I don't do what's asked
I live by no task

I am pollution
Bearing no solution
I am a flake
I don't give, I take
This is the only life I know
Nothing else to show
I wreak havoc every step I take
No responsibility for the lives at stake

So when I see red
I will not obey
I live my life my own way
But if I get a ticket
Remember there is no stopping

Virtue itself turns to vice:  Romeo and Juliot

Virtue, if done not for the self but for the sake of God, never turns to vice!

Addie
The bed won't let me go afraid of the storm ahead

but I’ve seen the rain in your eyes and know there’s nothing to fear.
Never stop dreaming...
Sometimes dreams are the only thing that a person has
The
        haunting
                         distinction
                                             between
