love poem
"where love is a wave that splashes on the sand"

when a heart
loves
the stars surrender
to the heavens,
the moon catches her breath
and the avenues
of silence become
voice. i follow the
path to my love,
i die for him,
i live for him,
like a spartan
in the heat of battle,
like a flower in the
mist.

You make me want to tell stories.

With such fluidity,
such grace,
my words are dancers
spinning in space.
They're airy
and light
floating on by.
No weight to them
at all.
Follow the path
I lead you on
and don't ever stray.
My words are
pretty
and
meant
to
distract
you from pain.

You make me want to tell stories.

she stands there,
wind through her hair,
dazed and unaware,
numb and hopeless,
a broken goddess.

she stands there
waiting for time
to fade her away
into the dark, cold night.

I search for galaxies in your eyes
But all I find are the trembling stars
The ones the take you by the hand
Despite all the good and all the bad
And dance with you on the surface of the moon
Until your hand comes reaching out
And you pull me through space and time
Only to find that I’m lost at sea
Searching for your starry sky
But you’ve been here all along
The fire in my soul, the glitter in my lies
You’re the universe I’m searching to find
And I’m the lost galaxy in your eyes
it’s ok to love yourself
it’s ok to let go of the hate
-what i wish she had known
And I looked myself in the eyes
And found I had run off again
-Tell me if you see her
I'm
Trying
My
Best.

Crying
In
My
Car
But
Doing
It
Well.

Words flow like worms
Swept along in the silt
Of murky river beds
No match for the current
And content
Of a cluttered unfiltered head

Moments perish like daffodils
Fragile to a stiff
Spring breeze
Petals turn dark to auburn
Permiated with jaundice
Depicting decaying disease

Ferrous dust lines lungs
Along with choking
Metallic fumes
Time ticks in slow motion
Steel faced suppressed emotion
As impending doom looms
