snuggled in

The afternoon rolls in
vast summers sky across the sea
salt air breezing through
your small bungalow windows
squat quaint abode nestled
a tiny shelter shell
like hermit ***** down the shore
snuggled in.
You came in like rain
that poured heavily,
washing away the dirt and remains
of the polluted world
but, some despised your presence
for they lacked warmth and security
you made them shiver,
you made them suffer,
when you believed that
you gave them joy
With your pure drops of water

the menace that abandoned my house
eventually came back
it used the words God gave him to threaten
everything in its path
he came back
screaming, clawing, gnawing at his prey
until there was nothing to left
its teeth would clench if his food
wouldn’t cooperate,
then he’d hold them down
to keep them from struggling

the same thing happened to you
but this was different
your menace was a real man,
someone who never quite understood
what consent meant
no one understands the word, "consent"
Your smile.
.
endlessly,
my heart  searched
for a vibe on another
heart with which to
resonate and found none.
finding none, it  wandered endlessly like
Infra-red rays seeking a
suitable tempo upon which
to strike an interference.
i  wandered in search of a fertile
land in a heart upon
which to grow seeds of
love, my head burrowed
deep in a shell of
restlessness...
.
but on that fateful day,
too-good-to-be-true was
your smile--- it caused
my eyes to twitch,
borrowed a beat from my heart, transforming my
thoughts to an ode-- a
prelude to better days
.
i still see that smile,
lucid--- your lips opening
like windows of love,
revealing shiny white
louvres of beauty (teeth)
which opened to your
tongue-- a valley flowing
with sweetness as it
goes down your palate
like a parting curtain
welcoming love... then
you said "hi".
.
this friendship began with a smile,
it deepened with the " hi"
.
i have tapped from the
happiness let out from
the windows of your heart--
your smile..
my heart no longer wanders, in your smile,
it found rest
.
my greatest wish is
to make this smile mine
someday,
plant a kiss on your lips,
the happiness that
dwells in there becoming
a remedy to my malady.

i could care less
about you
about how you are doing
about how your day went
about how you are feeling
i could easily
easily
try not
to care about you

but i still do

and it hurts
because
i don't think
i even
cross your mind
for you, will.

I think you can know something before it happens
There's a change in the air
Or something inside of you
That you know to be true
And it is not that strange

Don't be that person with nothing to say
As the autumn leaves fall
Dying leaves spawling out through wind

You can try to catch to wind
But you might just lose your mind

So
Depart from me
Deep within the sea
Feel the water through your fingers
Let that wonder linger

Maybe you'll feel a thronging in your chest
A tightly packed longing
Like lungs on fire
Fueling a simple desire
to breathe and to be

Drown me in the ocean that is your mind
And I will learn to breathe
Under pressure
Show me that
Which you desire to hide
So that I may know
Who you are inside

Burn me in the fire that is your love
And I will learn to fight
For you, for me, for what's to be
Show me that
Which you desire to feel
So that I may know
That this is real

Bury me in the ground that is your faith
And I will learn to grow
Suffocate me with your wants, hopes, and expectations
Have faith that I will reach them, above and below
Show me that which you desire to have
So that I may know
And can be your other half--I'll give you all I have

Throw me through the skies that is your life
And I will learn to soar
High altitudes, high hopes, huge dreams
Show me that
Which you desire to be
So that I may know
You're lovely, crazy you
I'm quirky, crazy me
But we could be a brilliant, crazy "we"

We are the best kind of desire.

Once a week on Wednesdays
Round about high noon
The crowd falls deadly silent
As his presence fills the room

Is it out of reverence
Or is it out of fear
A rustling of feathers
As the Colonel draws near

He passes back and forth
In his Stately Southern  Swagger
You can make out nervous clucking
As it certainly isn't laughter

Pointing out a few in the crowd
That's the last we'll see of  you
Until you're deep fried battered
And set out on a platter

That's when Henrietta hen
Noticed the paper in his pocket
In her slickest ninja move
Grabbed it fast, don't dare drop it

His secret recipe
Who would ever have believed
What he'd planned to dust them in
The chickens have now got it

They gave it to Robbie Rooster
Because he's computer savvy
Down loaded the app for eBay
To see who would like to have it

From the Ukraine to Japan
The bids started pouring in
Popeye and some Church
Were in the battle to the end

The Colonel's misfortune paid that day
The chickens bought themselves an island
Skedaddling themselves far away
The coups now forever silent

Enjoying life drinking margaritas
Sticking it to the Man with golden tan
You can lick your fingers on that Sanders
As you'll never see them again...
