The wisdom of God has always wanted big things to come in small packages.
And like grace in unlikely places,
so is the story of a child.
In us (children), God shares His experiences with Humanity (patience, love, discipline, leadership, etc). Its a practical class.
For In our heart is the possibility of Heaven
And like us are those who live there.
We are the glory of God concealed and it is your honor to find us out.
We are the heritage from the Lord, a weapon of defense,  and a great company for comfort.
The most blessings of any family is hidden in us, by God.
Like an arrow in The hands of the mighty,
the one who shoots us, as directed by God will never miss his target.
We come into your lives, you love us, we grow, we learn, and we love you back.
We are that godly seeds the great husband man searches for.

HEAVENS' ECONOMY
David Omodunmiju Apr 2016
The power of resources beyond lack
Filling up every vacuum of want
What could we ever ask?
When there’s provision for what we need not yet

In Heaven’s Economy
Peace that passes understanding
Erasing the fear of depression
With enough confidence to face tomorrow
Provided through the network of faith

Heavens' Economy
Where the existence of famine is not recognized
Even the least budget is well organized
Its treasures are incorruptible
And only by faith is it accessible
Reserved for the people in His kingdom
Managed by His wisdom
Heaven’s economy, powered by God.

WHEN I SIT TO THINK
David Omodunmiju Apr 2016
When I sit to think
Trying to find the missing link
I wonder why sin is so sleek
And the atmosphere around it, really thick

Some people just want to stay blind
By refusing the renewal of their mind
Each day, denominations keep stringing up
And evil just won’t stop

Doctrines have gone wild
Trying to make situations seen mild
But it only makes the truth so clear
That His appearance is really near
And only those who hold Him dearly will see Him

So in your best interest, neglect this old devil
That you may make heaven
His love for you is more than you can know
The knowledge of Him will help you grow
Washing you with His blood that makes white as snow
We are but Pilgrims in this world!! never lose sight of this

BLAZING GRACE
David Omodunmiju Apr 2016
Penetrating the walls of sin
To bring to life a dead being
Tolerating our flaws
Through the forgiveness of our trespasses

Will not behold sin
Therefore to it blinded His love
Left His throne, to eat from our dish
Working willingly towards His wish

The great deliverer
Ready to lead us out of darkness into His marvelous light
The still small voice whispering “yes you can”
From the heart of love, His blood flows
Healing the bruised, finding the lost
Assuring the hopeless, giving another chance to the prodigal
Through mercy, with a blazing grace.

ANOTHER CHANCE
David Omodunmiju Sep 2015
Another bright day where the sun still has its smile
Business like, cars running their mile
People all around, buying and selling
And some lazy ones, still sleeping in their dwellings

Our worries cloud the reality of an expiry date
And we keep wasting time, living by fate
Well any how we use our time, it’s recorded
And some day, rewards will be accorded

More real than breath, time is ticking
To every man is a time and season
Your ignorance might just be writing you wrong pages
And before you realize, you’re referring to gone ages

Think about this more than twice
And choose the path of the wise
Just before you close those eyes
Clear your mind of those worldly lies

That paints wrong as right
Luring you away from the true light
Wake up from these illusions, stand up and fight
Keep your gaze on the truth, focused and tight

So if you see tomorrow’s sun
Don’t use another chance for fun
Register your life in it as an impactful one
By living in accordance with the will of the first born.

IT’S WORTH DYING FOR
David Omodunmiju Sep 2015
His mighty self came through a ******
His unconditional love for us made Him cross the margin
His royalty came as low as a carpenter
Just to reconcile us back to the Father

He passed through the heat of hell, to lay for us a path
Tore in two the veil, so we’ll have access to His heart
Willingly, He left the throne of grace
To give us life, and in death take our place

Who for the joy bore our pain
Setting believers free from the enemy’s chain
He felt all and more, what we now feel
And despite our foolishness, won’t give up on us still

For us He came, by us was rejected
We lived in sin while for us He fasted
Still for us
He went to the cross
And felt all kinds of pain in their gross

It’s not much He’s asking for
He’s just saying “wherever you are, be my ambassador”
Growing up all round into my stature
After all these proof of love…yes Jesus is worth dying for

LIKE A SIGNBOARD
David Omodunmiju Aug 2015
Visible but stuck, it could give direction
With the truth of its helplessness
Few discover their stagnancy
Fewer find a reason to change condition

That’s how we live each day
Acting outside what we say

Our mouth, pointing to the kingdom
Our lives, pulling away from real freedom
Choosing foolishness over wisdom
By walking in this evil world’s custom

There won’t be reward
If they came because of you
But if they came with you
So drive the train
Rather than be just a pointer
Like a signboard

YOUR DESTINY WAS...
David Omodunmiju Aug 2015
A thought on God’s mind
To rescue the lost
And give vision to the blind

So he acted
Let’s make man in our own image
His pen wrote your page
A major project, loaded with mysteries
Then He formed a habit
To make more in different ways

It became His character
To make good things better
And better things you

If there was a best project He did
The best song He composed
The best script He wrote
The best picture He painted
It’s your destiny…fulfill it

Living in the counsel and purpose of God
David Omodunmiju Jul 2015
THE ADVERSARY OF THE SOULS OF MEN

it feeds your passion
it knows your taste
fueling your lust
you think you're smart

it would keep you busy, and won't let you ask why
running your life in the routine of a circus
you are stranded in the world of competition
and have lost touch with contentment

its job description is one
reducing a king to a beast
that now lives with only a selfish purpose
gathering only for a passing world

its the regret of the dead
the wish of the old
the regular companion of an agile heart
and the mystery unknown to a new born.

YOUR OWN HEM
David Omodunmiju Jul 2015
YOUR OWN HEM
By David Omodunmiju

The power in Him runs even through His garment
It could make your healing permanent
Ending your pain in a moment
It’s what you get, when your Father is omnipotent

She would have died, weighing the crowd
But her faith was far too proud
Her cry wouldn’t have meant a thing, though loud
But her desperation for healing changed the cloud

Now you don’t need that much
Healing has advanced to faith not touch
Even so, build not your faith from the environment
And enough of the mere talks
Resign from the dead works

Wake up! Days of turns are gone
Else like the ******* by the river, you’ll be there for long
Now the violent are the ones who take it
You’ll need your violence of faith to make it

These tears won’t help you receive
The equations have changed, don’t be deceived
It’s now faith plus work that equals achieve
Your faith might just be your own hem.

THE WRITINGS OF CHANGE
David Omodunmiju Jul 2015
THE WRITINGS OF CHANGE

Taught by the hands of common men
You have become the replica of old stories
Vain repetitions has formed you a tradition
The fear of ME is drowning men in the pool of sameness

Verily, I have watched
As many struggle each new day, for same old things
Bound by the thought of what people will say
Shackled by the fear of the unknown
So that the waters of possibility remains untroubled

I have seen Kings die like mere men
They make old mistakes and give new excuses
Those who have resisted ME
Ended on the wrong side of history
But if You will dare to be different
You will find that there's a spirit in man
My name is CHANGE
And I hope the sons of men find this letter.

TALES OF A DUSTLESS CITY
David Omodunmiju Jul 2015
Revealed from the fullness of a glad heart
Words will only ******* my expression
The sights and sounds yet unimagined
Leaving even angels in awe

Sincerely, our best materials here are its waste
Even these thoughts put my spirit in haste
I desire to live there
So I daily lose touch with the toys here

I’ll be bold to say it’s ours
When we come through salvation, and live by the rules
Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine
By the blood contract for me He signed

Yes, this tongue can’t process its taste
Waters springing from the fountain of life
Breeze that fill our lungs with holiness
Where even the lions and lambs walk together

Streets of transparent gold like glass
Mighty gates built with priceless pearls
A city where God lives, built by God
And we are still yet to find a single dust.

FAITH IN THE SLING
David Omodunmiju Jul 2015
Really, the fear could get so real
You can almost feel its pulse
You want to agree with your heart beat
As the giants shout loud your name

Trembling seems like a voluntary action
Though you reject this certificate of weakness
They say “run today, fight tomorrow”
Wow, I hear “keep running loser”
Cos’ tomorrow will soon become today

See, pacing back and forth in tears doesn’t mean weakness
It means, you’re too smart not to sit down in it
Of a truth, these giants are bigger than the ‘you’ outside
But tinier than even the toes of the ‘Father’ inside
And knowing the depth of the Father’s love for you!
If I were you!
I’ll look up, call Daddy!!
Believe He heard me,
Put my faith in the sling of work,
Shoot my best, and leave the rest.

MY ADDRESS
David Omodunmiju Jul 2015
Soon, questions will rise like volcano erupts
Tired of the lies of a life called corrupt
Yes, your soul will search earnestly for the truth
Cos all you can steal is the fruit not the root

I may never look like it
As it is a function of what you search for
This truth won’t struggle to fit
It’s a rare one, with a foundation that stands sure

I really wasn’t born this way
I lived my life from what I heard them say
Till the day mercy found me out
Opened my eyes and stopped my scout

Now I live my life straight and focused
My purposed has changed, I’m contented with Jesus
Even the evil of this age works in my favor
I’ll pass the test, my friend is the tutor

And while this world’s darkness covers their identity
It will shine the light of my spirituality
And when they come asking for my source
Requesting my autograph, I’ll give them yours
I’m blessed to live in you, breath in you, and even have my being

THE FALL OF A ROYAL HOUSE
David Omodunmiju Jul 2015
Blessed by the sight of wonder, on a wrong foundation
It becomes only a matter of time
The praises of men may numb its sense of weakness
Only to prepare it for a big woe

Though wisdom walks the streets
It only glances at this mansion with teary eyes
As pride guards its beautiful gates
And quietly cracks the core of its stance

Loud noise of achievements may raise the dust
Aroused by the sweet words of red blooded men
We stand in the brightness of the sun of this day
As we await the fall of a royal house.

THE ALMIGHTY
David Omodunmiju Jul 2015
Some say He’s invisible
Though we all know He’s invincible
His breath alone parted the sea
Well, He’s Jehovah nissi

Three in one, one in three
You’ve got Him, you’re free
His thought alone makes me the opposite of sad
Thinking too deep of Him could even run one mad

He’s as big as, the earth is barely His foot stool
Still could be as small as, speaking through you
Unspeakable is His power
He sees a thousand years as an hour
He brings out mighty trees from little seeds
From human to ants, He feeds

How big could His brain be?
That He knows the numbers of our hair
How deep could He see?
That He reads our thoughts so bare and clear

His being is the meaning of holiness
His breath is called faithfulness
Holy, holy, angels keep calling
In His presence, all knees helplessly falling

Through His fear, Wisdom is born
Therefore to all glory should return
His mercy brings me into better days
His love is spoken to me in different ways

His ways makes me speechless
His works, clean, explicable, and faultless
On both good and evil He shines His sun
Still for both, He sent His son

Mountains and oceans flee at His anger
Yet He never forgets His position as the Father
He delights in making good things better
Since He’s Jehovah ralpha

Two things I can’t comprehend is
He was, He is, and still yet to come
Yet He unconditionally loves someone like me
He sure defines ALMIGHTY.

THE BATTLE
David Omodunmiju Jul 2015
Fiercely, this battle I’ve fought
Still this evil won’t stop in my thought
I’ve tried curbing it with some discipline
But my mind won’t just stay clean
A voice in me says “by strength shall no man prevail”
It’s blur! Lord please remove this veil
You must loose it
To get it fit
My mind? I asked
God, that’s a difficult task
It needs renewal with the Word
It would keep you connected, serving as a cord
Erasing every evil from its hidings
Filling your inside with living findings
Giving you an every-time check
So as not to head for a wreck
Consciously dethrone every idol on your inside
Placing your motives aside
Leave your ‘direction’ to Me, like a sheep
And your winning will sure define cheap
I’ve given you a mantle
And at its instance you win the battle
A longtime ago I got you the victory
You’ll be assured by going through the history.

MADE OF CLAY
David Omodunmiju Jul 2015
The presence of emotions kills my boast
While in this body which is my host
I talk so strong, yet I’m weak
My fact is healthy, my truth is sick

I’ve been through hell, and smell like smoke
Battling the pressuring thoughts that make me choke
I work daily, to my fears defeat
But the mirror says, I’m first on the list

Oh! I’ve been abused outside the manual
It’s sad to think a debased me is normal
This wisdom finds only a very few
That looks beyond size, strength, and hue

Now I search for the real barer of the name I’m called
Only to find in my deepest remorse
That I am the extension of God
Living in a body made of clay
