The Silk Engineer
"O where are you going?" said reader to rider, "That valley is fatal when furnaces burn, Yonder's the midden whose odors will madden, That gap is the grave where the tall return." "O do you imagine," said fearer to farer, "That dusk will delay on your path to the pass, Your diligent looking discover the lacking Your footsteps feel from granite to grass?" "O what was that bird," said horror to hearer, "Did you see that shape in the twisted trees? Behind you swiftly the figure comes softly, The spot on your skin is a shocking disease?" "Out of this house" ‚ said rider to reader, "Yours never will" ‚ said farer to fearer, "They're looking for you" ‚ said hearer to horror, As he left them there, as he left them there.

O Where Are You Going?
I am caught, in your eye, and I drown, in your tectonic wave. You rattle, intimately, for me, and shake... You shift, minutely, soundlessly, collapsing, into sprawling patterns, into formulaic strains, of madness. Then you madden, me, as you cascade, into beautiful, and brilliant shades: Your Rorschach mosaics, in prismatic hues. Each gemlike, facet, of YOU, that is you... Burning out my gaze, with your radiance, as you irradiate... I'd give anything...to label each color, that infuses, your face... Scattering trickles of light, and roseate shapes... as if your soul, were a treasure trove, of the most precious jewels. Your vibrant emeralds... your smoky citrines... your sapphire blues... your ruby reds, and your royal amethysts, too You twist, in my hands... and, under the light, I turn, and return, too, if only to seek, a fleeting glimpse...of you.

Every time I touch a controller I set a new highscore I said a new highscore. Look out behind you, mother ****** I capped that *** You should've watched your back. Now I got an L-shaped block Watch as I drop it in that L-shaped slot. Haters gotta throw the blue turtle shell, Because they can't keep their kart on Rainbow Road. Donkey's going to throw some barrels at me; Don't worry princess, watch me jump. I promise I won't get hit, not even once. Hey there champ look right here; I just stuck a plas grenade On you right ear. Lucky shot? So you say. Still watching me tea-bag you From the grave. Pilot Wings, Punch-Out, Mario Madden, Sonic or GTA It doesn't really matter The number of pixels we play. D-Pad or joystick, Night or day, It doesn't really matter how you play, Put me on tron I'll blow you away. Turtles in Time: You take that next slice. Even blindfolded your no match For my SuperScope. Tony Hawk, what a joke! In Pacman or Galaga in space Even with the Kunami Code You've got no hope. So the next time you hear Scorpion yell "Get over here!" Have no fear A Sonic Boom will soon be there. Busting out Atari's Pong? Noob, I'll pwn you One-thousand to none. Hell, not even Parapa the Rappa Can touch my rhymes. melancholy blanketed the whites scarred voices muffled by a ****** mind. an avalanche stuck in my soul severer than a bee at a forked road    how confused! red-cheeked petals and afternoon birds glare     in confusions at the footsteps : unbalance, shaded, muted! the green umbrella's warm, so scorchingly cold! all embittered, by solemn beams of the soulless sun.      their eyes widen,      for they had never seen such lone, for such lone, rare, is forbid to the sons of nature, never belong to happy child's arms, that dreams in a mother's charm. grieving droughts in the air and grass, no dews, why!,    yawned the madden, soporific rabbit Ah, so wild. the windless noontime cross, my quivers stopped, mild. lashes waxed, blacken like a coal,   mind stuck in a haze, or maybe a threatening maze. stiffness of the air injected to my nostrils into my white tongue they will soak, like perfumes to a clothe. Selene will gaze angrily at this and say,       why no, it shouldn't be in there! the midnight orchids waver and frown. soon the frothing dreams peter, but the bolded letters in a white board stay, my chair stays. creaks of an abominable burden became a din. The smudges of grey-white dust I smelt hover gaily in the air of pompous breath.     spellbound by the stagnant languor, mazy, in hallucinations of the heat and homesick.     I sought the fount of hypocrisy and vile, my hiding nonchalances rosen (towards a flock of friends) and loathes to an abominable sun frozen (I wished it to die!) Tilted to the windows, I saw nothing, but fatal secrets of a heart rosed like window dust to a nose.

I met Virginia in a wave of sleet. On Decatur, a hundred winters ago, with a black iris, black hair in ponytail, with a tongue like a nightcrawling widow, Virginia whispered tornados behind the backs of the grey-suited saxophone players, going blue in the cheeks, under their blackface. Under a flimsy sheet of moon sliver sky and a dim streetlight, Virginia kicked a soda can along the cracking concrete. With each bar we passed, I hollered, "Thank God we're alive!" and danced a shapeless jig. Near Williamson cemetery, Virginia's white knuckles laced into mine. "The amount of time we have cheapens whatever purpose we have," Virginia hissed. I caressed her serpentine neck. A lone car's high beams made Virginia's silhoutte tower above the cemetery gates, made Virginia's black irises madden to poisonous yellow. She loosened my grey necktie. I let down her hair. A sea of collected strands fell like a closing curtain. The distant saxophone ascended to heaven, leaving me below, leaving me below, leaving me to spend the night bellowing for above.

Though thou did’st hear the tempest from afar, And felt’st the horrors of the wat’ry war, To me unknown, yet on this peaceful shore Methinks I hear the storm tumultuous roar, And how stern Boreas with impetuous hand Compell’d the Nereids to usurp the land. Reluctant rose the daughters of the main, And slow ascending glided o’er the plain, Till ****** in his rapid chariot drove In gloomy grandeur from the vault above: Furious he comes. His winged sons obey Their frantic sire, and madden all the sea. The billows rave, the wind’s fierce tyrant roars, And with his thund’ring terrors shakes the shores: Broken by waves the vessel’s frame is rent, And strows with planks the wat’ry element. But thee, Maria, a kind Nereid’s shield Preserv’d from sinking, and thy form upheld: And sure some heav’nly oracle design’d At that dread crisis to instruct thy mind Things of eternal consequence to weigh, And to thine heart just feelings to convey Of things above, and of the future doom, And what the births of the dread world to come. From tossing seas I welcome thee to land. “Resign her, Nereid,” ’twas thy God’s command. Thy spouse late buried, as thy fears conceiv’d, Again returns, thy fears are all reliev’d: Thy daughter blooming with superior grace Again thou see’st, again thine arms embrace; O come, and joyful show thy spouse his heir, And what the blessings of maternal care!

'Les amoureux de la pluie'   That's the myth we share sitting across a sea of stars (table) that bound a distance rich in silence and secrets only whispered into budding tulips.   Ambiguous forms that refer to the weeping clouds to heal scarring burn wounds; we ask for you to madden our burning coal spirits with waves that seem to effervesce as they sweep by. In those bubbles washing away the endless thoughts we conjure up over elements and matters observed. You like the smell of wet pavement   after it pours   And I fail    to stop thinking about the little things you act upon. The mischievous innocence that frames the corners of your smile force me to lose my structure as a lover. My hands quiver and are weaker than the red and blue fishes swimming across your blouse. Empty unsealed cartons remind me of your wholesome frown (that i honestly adore) and opalescent evenings overseeing weary city light lit buildings. I'm kissing the morning Sun through your burning lips, my dear. With sideburns that curl the way lashes should, they are pecking at my ears as we wrinkle these covers and fall asleep again.

It changes you to ruin it. To act is to offer up a court of law To an imperfect judge As justification seeps in from all sides. A young boy is still learning. He can steal a toy and just as soon be sorry, Like a puppy, and be earnest in his love's intention But as we age we harden, and to look down at witness your hands doing a damning thing Rings with a phrase like "narrow specialization." It changes you And to hold it in suspense is better but that can madden you. It's so important that we choose the second option anyway That we try to change and combat the patterns that can begin to consume our lives Don't get used to ruining your life out of spite You're worth it You can really work yourself up into something even greater You already have Take it to a new level!

Don't Ruin Your Life Out Of Spite
Of lavender, golden meshes--discerning Goddess gargantua. Lamp of fig tree and Roman chorus...waves crest in a moonlit white as to knit the sultry gown of your being. Never once did you recant the definitions of love and beauty, they stay and fever...dally the same breath to deliver. Here and there, wedged in towering hearts they sway and splay forked flames. You are signaled blatantly, and in secret as holds the tolerance of those you madden. Venus...crash landing, riveted Xs cringe and ripple in anticipation--marked and moving, your children pass the ardent thorns of beauty...clump, swell and spill ****** roses. You'll always seem uncollected, unstable-- your constitution's chasmic rift claims...those you've landed upon. They mouth love and beauty, wound and bisected, their livelong day thrashes to unify that breath...just to sigh as if to say they see you.

Venus Crash Landing
If I'm free I'll never pass up a late night coffee session with Mike. It gives me a hug of comfort of when things were simpler in high school. Before we talked of job interviews and salaries And pretty girls with blue jean eyes in Georgia and Canada who don't pay much attention to you. But when we talked about Madden and shows And pretty girls who lived only 10 minutes away For those 45 minutes when I'm sipping on that muddy, 4 AM Waffle House coffee. I'm 16 again. And I'm at home.

You Don't HAVE to go to Georgia to go to Waffle House
The embers have died the fire is lost and gone, all night she sat and cried, for her, he spent his life to fawn. She is the girl of any guy's dreams, tall, pale, and long ebony hairs. She belongs in the movie reams, in love with the hero who really cares. Alone she would hide away, a ghost girl to the town and all, at least it seemed that way, until her life truly did fall. He would give his life just for one single kiss. She would be the greatest wife of all, she deserved eternal bliss. So on this bleak, winter night with strong, howling wind snow covering the land in white, each emotionless plant, twinned. Out he ventured in fright, filled with hopes to see his love before she was out of sight, or deprived of gay and glee. Something over took him, when he saw a soaring raven, on the edge of the brook. It jumped in the water that was roaring. Intrigued and enticed, he followed without will. On the side was a body iced, however heart beating still. The body was his love, the kind madden of his heart, whom had been taken above, despite his pain of her depart. "Raven, oh Raven, save him from his pain and the love he's been cravin' turn the snow to pouring rain." This her soul cried with everything it had; completely unaware, she had died, and why he was so sad. How could he know she would be alright and fine, if his love he could not show, nor could he say, "She's mine." Don't expect a smile from one who can only cry. This pain will be more than a while, cause now he decided he too must die.

I had a really good poetry line but it got lost between the illegal substances. I hope someone else can find it. Cuz all I can believe is the music from Madden. These fake orchestral pieces or are they real. I'm also smoking a cheap box vaporizer after drinking two steel reserve 40's and those are 8 percent alcohol. It's at 420 degrees and that's cool. Def not a plebian. Possibly lesbian but mom says that's really really good.

So incredibly bored So incredibly lonely No one cares No one listens No one wants to No one wants you So incredibly empty So incredibly tired When will I find it This doesn't seem worth it This seems to end in pain Maybe all this searching is in vain Want to cry Want to die Want to live Want to find you.. Maybe you don't exist Maybe my everything in my heart is a myth... -Iris Madden

Frustrations of the Heart
Good surprises leave me be. Decent starts are deceitful, and we're all heartbroken by the end. Sometime early I dreamt of his love Tomorrow our lips must go untouched, Today I admitted who I've missed but she should have just left me alone as I was, sparking past hopes could be a murderous crime if I had a passion for anything at all. My try at charm and wit a pitiful attempt to one so charming. So scared of falling back into the numbness, but I'd never realized how much easier life is when you can't feel your feelings. 2.2.17 -Iris Madden

Surprise
I’ve found that to stifle, change it won’t deter it —- just derange it Madden, rile up, betray -see it not a foe, I pray- I implore beg, obsecrate —- Dismayed, you’ll be and broken too -there’s such a fate in store for you- You won't die —demise?— Oh, no You just birthed a newfound foe And laugh it shall with your persistence “…..Quite the futile resistance.”

March 21, 2013 - No Escape
The natural order of all things – The love and joy that connection brings. The beautiful smile of a human that feels loved, That ear-to-ear grin that warms the heart for a good while, The kind that makes bearing life’s chagrin worthwhile. I bet you thought of someone, just now – A face your mind instantly sought, somehow. The language of love – It is hardly expressible just through words, It is only accessible through bridging two worlds: The realm of loving your soul, And the realm of accepting humanity as a whole. Eyes that twinkle like stars, Hearts that mingle in nights spent diving in bars. The freedom to open your mind, A kingdom of your own, Away from the wilfully blind. Give yourself a reason to live, **** religion, be a heathen, You have everything to give! Let go of that which serves you not, Flow with whom deserves to share your life’s plot. Dance to rhythms, Sing along to your favourite song! Be colourful, Like light passing through prisms, Lose yourself in the heat of the throng! Let your mesmerising heart shine and glow, Let go of the overanalysing, Let your fear head on over to death row. Gladden the world with what you bestow, Madden those who do not wish to grow. The language of love, the syntax of affection; The essence of life, its most crucial section. To drink from its fountain is all that counts, A divine link capable of moving mountains, A storm to end all droughts.

The Language of Love
My laughter bounced off the walls, To thick but to thin at the same time, Allowing my laughter to be heard at times. The laughter resides in my heart, Making everything seem ‘normal’, Though I do not know if these broken pieces on the floor are ‘normal.’ Everything is spinning; as I dance around and down these empty halls, With madness running threw my veins, Everything seems to be hollow even this laughter. I can’t seem to find my mouth able to form words, My throat can only allow this laughter float up and out. These walls have been through thick and thin, And I am quite surprised they haven’t tumbled down of yet, Because clearly those cracks are quite scarring and would shatter any perfection; Wounds and bruises are painted on the walls but they still stand. I slam myself against the walls, Wishing to scream out in agony and pure hatred, But all that bubbles out is this maddened laughter. Revenge, oh how sweet it sounds, Even though it is the thing that is tarring me apart, making it into something bittersweet instead. This thirst is much worse then this cursed sound, It’s the worst, making me go into a wild outburst. Laughter after laughter, nothing else, Not even a single breath of utter displeasure, Witch I clearly feel building up within my heart. These walls should have ears, After all the entire entity should shake in fear, Every time they hear the madden laughter reopen within my heavy chest, And flutter out of my numb lips.

Maddened Laughter
I bought another one of his books today. For 18 well paid dollars. We ended up in the book store because the movies were packed and we are both kind of completely anti-social. When we got back to his house we passed a bowl back and forth in bed, and I read, Love is a dog from Hell while he played Madden.

What The Music's All About
Who even are you? And more importantly why do I want to know so bad? I never looked at another girl when I was in a relationship. But you always made me stare. Even when I was love drunk, looking at you sobered me up. And you're so far out of my league. It's like your NFL and I'm on a couch playing Madden. (what is football?) Maybe someday you'll give me a chance that I will probably blow. But I'll give it one hell of a shot. If you let me.
