You were never just a person
Never just a face in the crowd
Every hug meant something more
Every kiss on the cheek I wish reached my lips
But it never did

dude
clouds were blue and skies were white
we laughed and told stories all night
when the lion saw its prey
it stopped and thought twice

sweetly, you turn to me and say,
'from the moon or millions of miles away
I'd come to you, it would be the only way
to bring meaning to these days'

jumped 30 feet, unbound from the ground
you picked me up when I was down
when you opened up your heart
love was all I found

the amazon became devoid of rain
the musicians had never suffered any pain
the painter's shirt didn't have a single stain
the ocean silent, bereft of waves
an oldies jawn
Rings of Headrick
Stabilize the flight
Of a broken equal

In zero atmosphere
I record you remembering to smile
Pixel pleasure
Whether or not
In zip ties

Cloud on the brow
Rain in the ashtray
Storms we all breathe in heavily

An end to camaraderie
By critical distance
By counting back from ten

Zero is an even number
When discord is no longer odd
A quiet
young woman
in a library
reading books
with diagrams
of bomb shelters
and *** positions

She's thinking
of her future

Maybe age
stresses you to un-stress
and that's the magic formula

I want to scream, get you off of my chest,
As if I could yell away my love for you-
like it’d cure my unrest.
As if the night air would accept my pain,
releasing it to the clouds,
turning you into rain.
But then you’d just be all around me,
soaking the ground-
yet I still haven’t mastered
moving on without sound.
Alright Cloudy I won't promise this is the last one, but I'll make a real effort to write about something different- this one was just already in the works 🤣
