Man Aug 2023
Silently, I wade through a dead sea
Forgoing the attempts, forlorn-
At regaining what I once believed:
To be real, to be deceived
The gambit run, when
Hearts are burning.

The faults of our stars,
Are that they linger
So far away.

And the crux of our minds,
Their aptitude for replay
Man Aug 2023
The apparitions cackle-
At last, exasperated crackles
That boon expiration
Man Aug 2023
I sit here in silence
No empathy knows my pain
Sit here alone
Reflecting on my shame
And smash
What stares back from the mirror
The glass
Cracks, ****** knuckles and
Fingers
Man Aug 2023
Snow ablaze:
What, that is desire.
No fairer sight, than to gaze
Through rosey red shades-
But risk being burned alight,
By arrogance and ignorance,
These frictionless fires.
Like night calls to day,
Egress, say my name.
Empty, hollow flame;
Bleeding quagmire.
As if a game to play,
The one to laugh last takes all;
Omission recusing the liar.

Sappho
He is more than a hero
he is a god in my eyes--
the man who is allowed
to sit beside you -- he

who listens intimately
to the sweet murmur of
your voice, the enticing

laughter that makes my own
heart beat fast. If I meet
you suddenly, I can'

speak -- my tongue is broken;
a thin flame runs under
my skin; seeing nothing,

hearing only my own ears
drumming, I drip with sweat;
trembling shakes my body

and I turn paler than
dry grass. At such times
death isn't far from me

Sara Teasdale
It will not change now
After so many years;
Life has not broken it
With parting or tears;
Death will not alter it,
It will live on
In all my songs for you
When I am gone.

Sara Teasdale
I am not yours, not lost in you,
Not lost, although I long to be
Lost as a candle lit at noon,
Lost as a snowflake in the sea.

You love me, and I find you still
A spirit beautiful and bright,
Yet I am I, who long to be
Lost as a light is lost in light.

Oh plunge me deep in loveā€”put out
My senses, leave me deaf and blind,
Swept by the tempest of your love,
A taper in a rushing wind.
