sometimes you just
gotta sit down and write
just grab the apple
and take a bite
just take a leap
into the dark night

if you want to be a poet
you gotta write poems
let the words go
wherever the wind blows em

sometimes your lines will ****
other times blow you away
but stay firm on that writing path
don't be led astray
by laziness and perfectionism
saying you can't do it
don't give in, knock em down
push yourself right through it

let the poem be what it is
let its rhymes ring true
knowing as much
as you're writing the poem
it's also writing you
success comes
through failure
improvement comes
through the grind
go ahead
write bad poems
they'll make you better
in due time

You used to call me your Moon
And that wasn't a lie
I was your Moon
And she was your Sun
The moon is nothing but a cold rock which reflects sun's light in its absence

When I care about someone
I give them my all,
every piece of me,
including the ones that are already
broken.
And I am still trying to
figure out if that's
a good
or
bad thing.
And just as the season changes; so does she.
As the sun goes down mid day, so do her thoughts.
Her emotions are raw and brisk, just as the wind in the night.
She applies layers to herself, as if she were going into a blizzard.
But this isn’t a bundling up that you can see.
She builds thick walls to protect herself from more than the cold.
Darkness seeps in and covers her.
She is consumed by her despair and she remains frozen.

When you first
Saw
Her
Did you
Stop
Breathing

The way you
Stopped
Breathing
When you first
Saw
Me
?
A small ladybug
flew on my
kneck,
I felt her
creeping on my
flesh,
she was a
sign of good
luck.
I wish I'd
just set her
free,
but instead I
left her to
die.
Why do I
hurt things I
love?
We seem to be sitting still
but we're moving in our fantasies
giving ourselves the warmth
we all have been trying
to sense in this cold world
