Your smile makes me smile,
Your laugh makes me laugh,
Your eyes are enchanting,
You make my thoughts seem daft.

Since the day I first laid eyes on you,
My feelings grew and grew.
In that first conversation my knees clicked and clacked,
And those butterflies flipped and flapped.

And as I spill these simple rhymes,
My mind goes over time and time,
Why didn't you ask me to dance,
During that slow song of endless romance?

I hope this doesn't seem to creepy.
Please don't think my thoughts have flown too freely.
Just know that what I speak is true,
And that I have fallen deeply for you.
My poem is about a boy I had fallen deeply for. At a dance he came to me during a slow song, but blushed and walked away. I was mortified. But I came to the conclusion that to get him hooked I needed to tell him how I feel about him. Let us hope it worked.

I know for a fact that you will never
care as much for me
as I do for you
but know that I cherish
every inside joke we share
like safety
glued to my fingers
I will not let go
I will protect you
no harm will ever be done to you
either if it's words
or judgements
or something scary
I will be there to
assure you
how amazing you are
and how much you are loved.

Do not ever let others bring you down because you are different
you are a beautiful rainbow on a rainy day
putting a smile upon other's faces.
Even on the darkest days
when it seems that the world is against you
know that you, yourself
are the light
that brightens day.

You are amazing
every bit that makes
others wonder
who you are and
how you think is
what makes you you.
I am grateful to be a piece
in what makes you you
and what makes your memories
and hopefully
what will make a whole lot more.
I wrote this half asleep so I'll probably reread it in the morning and find out it doesn't make sense but that has it's charm I guess?

You are my best friend, you belong in my heart,
We go through ups and downs, but still nothing can tear us apart.
I know you as a sister, and I will always care.

My friendship with you is special and true,
When we are together, we stick like glue.

Life would not be the same without someone like you, You're there when I need you to help me through.

Through the good times and through the bad,
Be them happy, or be them sad.

I don't have to be with you, to know you're there,
We don't have to see each other, to know that we care.
We could be apart for years upon end,
and still remain the best of friends.

Life goes on, and people change,
And through it all, our friendship shall remain the same.
That's such as a life, and how things come to be.
Just thought you should know,
HOW MUCH YOU MEAN TO ME.

When it seems there's no one to stay
I'll be there to make your day

When the sun in your world doesn't shine
I'll be your light, soon you'll be fine

When in your childhood they treated you wrong
I'll help you stand to prove you are strong

When you feel that the world is dark
Always remember that there is a spark

When you feel like crying to ease the pain
I offer my shoulders to carry your bane

Yes, I'm your best friend and I truly care
This will be forever, I really swear!

Don't know how did we become friends
Don't know either when did it start

Though I know everything has an end
But I know I want to be with you since from the start

Ask me how much I love you my friend
And my answer is if you can count the stars

I know there is no forever
But you will always be in my heart

Yes , we may can't be friends forever
But only death can do us part
I love my best friend <3

My best friend is insanely gorgeous.
However she refrains from seeing it.
So I try to remind her everyday.
She always finds a way to brighten my mood,
Even when I'm crying; she helps me pull through.
She's strong, and knows how to move on.
But for some reason, she stays by my side.
Through the fights, and the distance.
I don't think she knows how much I appreciate her existence.

When all is certainly lost,
I remember that there is at least one person out in this world,
whose soul was made from the same ingredients as mine.
And you remind me of this every day that I’m sad,
when you offer me a piece of yours,
to mend mine that which is broken.
This poem is dedicated to my best friend, Rachel. I don't know who I would have become without her.
The poet's manuscripts
are preserved for posterity
with odd bits of his personal things
historical than literary
immortalized with passage of time
as his timeless work
perfumed in air conditioned staleness
letters sent and received
the mortal mind sending poems
desiring to be published
and outside on a falling winter day
in a dog's head
the crumbling desire
for a crumb of bread.
